Combat Training 101

Many of you have asked for OR are needing help with combat on here. I’m scheduling a “mock” combat session for everyone that would like to get involved.

Sat April 24 6-10pm, possibly later..

I will show you the basics of combat, what your character can and cannot do etc. Explain what the basics of your character means, traits, abilities, retests etc in full detail. I plan on a good short storyline to run along with this “mock” combat

What you will need to have ready for when this happens….

Your puppetprince character updated and ready to go. PM me if you need to update it beforehand please. I’ll be happy to help you out any way that I can.

I look forward to seeing you there ready for what my warped mind can throw at you.

2 questions.

Will this training be for both venues, or is it geared more toward one or the other ?

If I do not have a character on puppetprince, but I am familiar with the combat in Vampire and Werewolf, would I benefit from this ?

This is for the Vampire Venue, Chace.

Yes, I think you would benefit from it, Chace. You need to get an "approved" character on puppetprince to participate. This, primarily, is to help the new players tweak their characters and them with their PP and XP expenditures down the road too. All are welcome to join in though.

Oh, great Thanks Moose i'll be sure to be there and ready. Kathy thanks for the tip, i think a *mock* combat for WW would be cool, i'd attend. I'll be sure too keep a look out for any updates.

I was told by the ST’s to make this online event a “full challenge real event” not a mock combat. So there will be some risk involved. You will learn the basics of combat in this event.

In short, this is going to be an in continuity event, but it is still designed and meant to be an educational event for people new to the combat system we use here at MGP.

We decided to make it a "real" event so that your actions have some meaning while you're learning and hopefully increase the fun!
