• What's that little green box under my username/avatar next to posts?
• What's the phrase I see when I hover my mouse over it, mean?
• What's the phrase "Rep Power" under my avatar mean?

Well, that's your reputation and reputation power is the amount your word effects others reputation around the site. I'm here today to talk a little about how that works and what it could mean in our community with your help!

• Ever wish you could thank someone for a great scene?
• Ever wish you could tell someone their writing rocks?
• Ever wish you had a polite way to show your disapproval of someone not finishing a scene with you or that you disagreed with them/thought they were being rude/unfair?

Reputation is how you can do this.

At the bottom of every person's posts you should find an icon that looks like a set of scales (like the scales of justice) that, when you hover over it reads: "Add to (name)'s Reputation"

When you click that you'll have the chance to say that you disapprove of the post or approve of it and make a comment about why. This is so the admins know why you approved or disapproved of the post; individuals can't see their own reputation awards so feel free to rate with honesty.

Each person is limited to how many reputation they can award daily and they cannot repeatedly give a single person awards without first rating a certain amount of other people.



Reasons You Might Give Positive Reputation -

• You shared a similar opinion with someone.
• You enjoyed their blog or post.
• You enjoyed your roleplay with that person.
• You felt that the person went out of their way to add to the community.
• You felt that the person was being nice and deserved a thank you.

Reasons You Might Give Negative Reputation -

• You disagree with someone's point of view.
• Someone bailed on your rp even after you asked them to return to finish it.
• Someone was rude to another community member.
