NEW - KIN Program
The job of Clan Helper is changing and being expanded. Those already in the position of Clan Helper will need to reapply if you are still interested. This is going to be open for both the Vampire and the Garou venues.
KIN Program
What is the KIN Program?
KIN is the name of the new program we are implementing at MGP. You may remember it under the old title of Clan Helper. That name no longer fits since we have other venues and we wanted to revisit the concept and broaden it out. The purpose of the program is for players to add to the community by sharing their knowledge and love of a single facet of the game. For example, if you’re a Clan Tremere specialist, knowing the Pyramid and Thaumaturgy inside and out, you’ll want to apply for the Clan Tremere KIN position!
Now don’t take this on lightly, we will reward you for your effort, but we do have some expectations back!
Expectations of the KIN
We expect the KIN to be the premier specialists in their chosen field. You must have an advanced knowledge in your specialty. Not sure how to attain this knowledge? Reading the clan or tribe book will help.
We also expect that a KIN will run at least one online chat game per month that is specifically for their area of specialization. They can open it up to others to attend, but the main event is a social setting organized by the KIN for their area of specialization.
Example: KIN Toreador might host an art show whereas the KIN Fianna might host a drinking contest.
We expect the KIN Leader to be a cheerleader for his specialization. You should be actively working to recruit new players to your field. This is part of what we call your Valuable Final Product. You control the growth of your specialization through recruitment.
We ask that you present small, area specific plotlines for your specialty to the Venue Lead at least once per quarter. These plots must originate within your given speciality, but with the assistance of the Venue Lead, they can branch out into other aspects of the chronicle. It wouldn’t be unheard of for you to work with other KIN for even more elaborate, popular plots. This will affect your Valuable Final Product, too.
What Do I Get?
You will have the complete and total satisfaction of adding to the chronicle in a creative way while still being able to actively participate in it. Your specialization and subsequent efforts will add to the enjoyment of our players, and attract more players to the chronicle in the long run.
Based on your Statistics, you will receive a monthly Player Point wage. The amount varies in accordance with how much effort you put into the project and how high you can drive your statistics!
You also can take ownership of one section of the game, then work to make it the best! When it’s done, you can lay claim to that fame!
Valuable Final Product
At MGP, we measure success by Valuable Final Products (VFP). For the KIN position, here are the measurements for success:
1. The number of active participants within your KIN specialization
2. The number of active participants in each online chat game you sponsor
3. The number of new recruits into your specific KIN area
These measurements will be reported each month.
