Thread: Combat Standardization

We have several goals here at MGP that are core to what we do.

1) Always deliver a quality product that is BETTER then our customers expect.

2) Constantly Strive to be Better.


Those are two of the core values we hold here at MGP.

Based on this, we've found, due to lots of experience in other Clubs/Groups etc, that our Combat narration has quickly become a hodge podge of things that is not what we strive for.

As any of our Members who have been around a while, those who have stuck with us as we've grown, know, we work very hard to keep improving our systems and to better provide you with the product that meets our standards.

To this end please find attached two sheets. You can print these off or keep them open in a window for any time you enter combat. All ST's will be running with these sheets any combat, step by step. You will be able to follow along to see where you are at in the sequence of actions and what is coming up.

These sheets cover all the mechanics of combat.

This is not to say that we will never (with players consent) decide to use other techniques such as Narrating a scene for story, or some other method, this is used when chops are being thrown.

There are things not listed on the sheet we will be training our Narrators and Staff into, but those are things the ST's need to worry about, not the players. This is a player friendly version including boxes to check off traits you used, blood/rage spent etc.

They are basically the same with some term changes for the two venues we have running.

At live games we will have copies of these printed off to use. Chat Games we STRONGLY encourage any player doing combat to have one to reference.
