Thread: Signature & Avatar Image Guidelines

Okay,

Just so that things don't get out of hand with the signatures (which are all smexy btw!) I'm gonna put out some guidelines for size and both siggies and avatars

You may have noticed that I've up'd avatar size to 150x150 pixels. I hope this is something everyone likes.

If you're unsure how big is the largest you can make your avatars, here is a template for you. (below)

As for signature images - please keep your signature images no bigger than 150 pixels in height and no more than 500 pixels in width. Here's a template (also below)







There are some websites out there that let you upload two or more images and turn them into an animated gif. this is a great way to have two signature images rather than just one or having them stacked or set side by side.

Signatures that are too big side by side stretch out the pages so folks have to scroll to read and images that are stacked can quickly get out of hand and cause a ton of scrolling so please - be considerate of your fellow site dwellers and be sure your siggie adheres to the guidelines.

Update!! Well, as of today, those of you who are subscribers at the level of: Contributor, Champion, Guardian and Patrons now an have a signature image with a max height of 300pixels.

Normal Subscriber PLUS members retain the ability to have signature images up to 150pixels in height.

All signature images remain at maximum of 500pixels wide to retain site appearance in all browsers.
