Thread: City State Park- Night after meeting (Attn: AJ, any)

A black raven lands in the clearing where the gathering had taken place. It sits perched on a log staring at Bjorn intently. Unlike most ravens this one seems to fail to blink at all. It simply stares at him as if measuring him.

A swallow into his throat, the sickly taste of dry parch upon his lips and lithe muscle. Dark orbs took in the midnight of the feathered fiend. Mysterious presence lured lingering curiosity to the animal, feeling the sole entity's piercing gaze.

A shuddered lower of his form, the sickly taint of fatigue pulling at his figure nearly toppled him when he descended too rapidly. Strands of auburn flitting about his features idly like worms lazily wriggling from his crown. "Quote the raven..." he spoke, the dark jeans drawn taught over his thighs when his legs doubled over to rest upon themselves in balance upon the balls of his boots.

Gaze slipped from the animal into the dark to keep watch for his expected guest. "Perhaps I was early..."

After a long moment, the bird's head darts in every direction looking into the surrounding woods. Then the raven's form begins to shift into the shape of a man. Once the shift finishes, A.J. is sitting on the log looking at Bjorn.

Grotesque and utter grimace takes mark upon virgin features before the change resembles anything like a human. His own features disfiguring themselves in manner most unpleasant, then falling to aftershock in numbing fashion while taking a few extra precautionary steps back.

A dream. It had to be. The mind's eye still remained closed however, bringing no stimuli or comfort to battle the intense surrealism now flowing through vacant chasms and nerves in his mind.

"AJ?" he nearly spat, breaking through the silence of the night air. It looked like the man, but everything was obviously not as it seems.

A.J. nods and says, "In the flesh. How are you tonight, Bjorn?" He continues to look at him, measuring him, as if trying to see the essence of who he is.

A slow draw, the smacking of lips suggesting the hint of fragile lacking of nutrition. The voice was suddenly hoarse in it's initial presence soon returning to normal after a short pause. "I... I am myself." he replied in the best available circumstances. The sound of his name still sounded alien to him, though that was what he was told his name was. "You.. you wished to meet."

A.J. nods to him and says, "Yes I did. I wanted to offer you some assistance. You are very new to this world and I know how challenging it can be to try to learn the ropes and survive on the fly. So, I figured I would offer to help you get through it."

Confusion once again etched his features, swelling through the expression filled orbs that slipped over AJs figure to bear the mark of the intrigue. "What do you mean...?" he inquired, dropping to one knee as his forearms rested upon his knee in shallant regard.

The hind leg remained taught to allow quick retreat. This man had already shown rather unique attributes and his mind could only think what he was capable of. "I... what am I doing here?"

A.J. shrugs and says, "Why are any of us here. Someone made us what we are. So, if you want help with learning the ropes, I will help you. It's up to you."
