Thread: What the Hell (Kharma, Any)

*Kharma decided to walk out to the lake tonight, the place where she met Sabre. She is wearing her custom torn jeans, tank top, feathers, a pair of sunglasses and Sabre's fedora. She goes out to the spot on the lake where she first met Sabre and sits down. She closes her eyes remembering the night she and Sabre met, then opens her eyes and looks around.*

Jeb sees a familiar form at the lake shore and watches Kharma for a moment. He strides forward not hiding his presence there. He walks up beside her and kneels by her. “Kharma,” He doesn’t really know where to begin or how to. He looks to her and decides to just ask, “Where is everyone?"

*Kharma looks up to see Jeb, she stands and looks him in the eyes. When he finishes asking his question she shakes her head then looks him back in the eyes.*

"Do you want the long version or the short one?"

He sighs and looks out over the lake watching the tiny ripples glisten in the starlight. Turns to look at Kharma, "If it has to do with the clan I would like the full version. Since Sabre and I went to see the counsel I felt a sort of a kinship to him." He stands by silently waiting.

*She looks around for signs of mortals, when she see's none there she speaks to Jeb in a lowered voice.*

"It all started when Sabre, Alayna, Christian Cross and I went to the Cross family farm. Some Anarchs showed up, and Christian's body went limp, like he had been staked, but there was no stake in his body. Sabre, Alayna and I took Christian to the museum, where we found the Prince. Callhoun tried to take Christian's body away from us, but it disappeared right out of Alayna's arms."

*She pauses a moment making sure that Jeb is following.*

"Later that night Christian walked into the museum, glowing red eyes and all his teeth sharp. He walked right up to the family, and asked us if we wanted to go back to the family farm. We went back, Christian asked me if I wanted to go talk, I told him no, so he started to attack Alayna who was standing between me and Christian."

*A tear rolls down her cheek and she wipes it away quickly.*

"Everything from there is still a little hazy. There's a new clan member in town who showed up at the farm, he helped to attack Christian, but it wasn't enough..."

*At this point she sits back down.*

"Christian killed him...he killed Sabre. After that Christian ran off, then several members of the city showed up finding Alayna sitting there. And yes, that does mean that Alayna stood by as Christian killed Sabre."

*She looks up at Jeb.*

"Anyway they used Alayna as bait for Christian, he came back to the farm, then myself and a few others helped to kill Christian. Alayna's body went limp, just as Christian's had, then her body disappeared."

*She stands back up and looks Jeb in the eyes.*

"It's still unclear if she is dead or not, but since she named me as her whip, I have taken the seat as Primogen until she either returns, or until someone challenges me for the seat."

The Indian half blood watches Kharma for a moment and sees the tear. He offers her a friendly arm around her shoulder not really knowing what else to do. He lets a bit of silence fill the void before he speaks. “You are the longest member of the clan that I know of, which I know I have not been here that long but Primogen is your right as far as I am concerned.”

“So,” he closes his eyes for a moment. “Does anyone know what happened to Alayna? Or anyone that you know of that would have a clue?” He starts to run through a list of his mind that he could ask, but he has not met many kindred in the city so the list is short. He opens his eyes and looks to Kharma.

*Kharma doesn't pull away when he puts his arm around her shoulder, but she doesn't seem to want it there.*

"I'll tell you the same thing I told our new gangrel, if at any time you feel that I should not be the Primogen, tell me. As far as Alayna goes I don't know if anyone knows what happened. If you really wanted to find out you could start by asking the people who were there, but honestly I think it would be a waste of time. If someone did something to her there's no way any of them would be honest with you."

*She shruggs her shoulders.*

"But if you do want a list of people that were there I could tell you who was there."

He turns to face her, removing his arm looking at her. "Kharma I will be here for the clan, but if you are Primogen you are going to have to follow a code of conduct." He looks back out over the lake. "I on the other hand am going to start kicking over rocks."

He shakes his head slightly, "Three Gangrel in a month. Yea Dominic brought it upon himself, but the others why clan Gangrel." He purposely leaves Christian off of the list. "You said Alayna just disappeared so that usually means a less combat oriented clan." He said the last thinking outloud to himself.

He shifts his gaze back to her, "I will understand if I make some powerful people anger and you cannot back me."

"I need to make something completely clear to you Jeb, my unlife may not be in my own fucking hands. When we were told to give Christian's body up I told that Prince that if I was leaving I was taking Christians body with me. Then I took a swing at JTM out of anger, and at the end of the fight I burned down the cross family farm. That's three possible strikes in one night."

*She shakes her head.*

"My not wanting to find Alayna is purely selfish. She let Christian kill Sabre, meaning she stood by as her husband killed her childe. She let that fucking Torreador bastard kill one of our clan. I swear if I see her again I will kill her. The only reason for me finding out where she is would be to make sure that it's only her ashes that reamain."
