Beauty and the Beast. 7/22 - Early Evening. (atn: Sabre)

Kirsi stood in front of the mirror for the fifth time today and sucked in her stomach. It was no use, she had gained weight. She sighed with no small amount of irritation at herself and then at the large pile of jeans on her bed.
A gentle knock came on her door. Immediately she assumed it was Constantino and so she raced to open it up. A servant stood there with a box. Taking the box she read the card on top, excited to recieve a present. Kirsi swallowed, confused. "Who sent this?" She asked the servant.
"I don't know any more than you do ma'am but the shipping label was stamped 'Rome.' It arrived short while ago ma'am."
"Does my Papi know?"
"No ma'am. He's not up yet." Kirsi sighed. "Thanks." she said, dismissing the servant and carefully taking the box over to the bed and opening it on top of the large pile of now useless jeans. "Zio Patrizio, I have need of you." She called out and, almost to her wonder, Patrizio appeared.
Patrizio smiled. "What is it Kirsi?"
"This gift arrived for me just now, I have no idea who it's from... are you able to read things here?"
"Not without manifesting. Allow me a moment." With an exertion of himself, the wraith becomes solid and picks up the card. "Open it." Patrizio tries to hid the emotion in his voice.
Inside Kirsi finds a letter from Dolce and Gabbana stating that the order was made to specifications and for one person alone that there is no other dress like this in all the world. This dress belonged to one Kirsi Giovanni and only Kirsi Giovanni. "Oh... my ... god!" Kirsi squeeled, taken in by the gift and never realizing that Patrizio still stared blankly at the card.
"Isn't it perfect!?!" Kirsi twirled around with the black dress ( CLICK HERE FOR PIC ) held tight to her. Walking to the mirror she stripped down, totally uncaring that Patrizio was in the room. Putting the dress on she asked the wraith to zip her up, which he did... setting the note down to do so.
"You look quite well." Patrizio states blandly.
"That's the understatement of the year!" She sighs. "I don't know who he is... but if I ever meet him, I'll kiss him." Kirsi continues to admire herself in the mirror.
"Somehow, I doubt that." Patrizio mutters to himself. "Haven't you a date to be off on now?"
"Oh my god the time!" Kirsi grabs her shoes and puts them on as she hobbles out the door fixing the last of her accessories. "Thanks Zio!" she calls out to the wraith who watches as she disappears out the door before he returns to make sure no one sees the note sent with her package.
Downstairs Kirsi meets Sabre at his car and leaps into the passenger seat. Leaning over she pecks him on the cheek, let's get going... I'm starving. I hope you brought olives... god those sound sooo good right now."

For a moment he almost didn't hear what she had said, but then a moment later he regained his composure and smiled, "I did bring olives actually." he laughs a little then puts the car in gear and speeds off towards the lake, "You look absolutely stunning by the way." he smiles as he slips his hand into hers.

"So, speaking of presents..." She smiles coyly. "Did you bring me one of those too? I mean, olives are great but..." she bounces like an excitable child. "I'm dying to see what your taste is really like."

Reply by Jeremy Castro on July 22, 2009 at 6:04pm Delete Sabre shakes his head slightly with a smile when she mentions an uncle spoiling her from over in Italy. When she mentions presents he smiles even bigger, knowing that he'd promised to give her one when he'd won his next race. Which he had won, so he had gone shopping and gotten her something, but he was going to make her wait a bit before giving it to her. He smiled at her, turning his attention from the road a second as he started speaking, "Yeah, I did. I keep my promises and I won my last race, so I bought you something."
He knew the fact that he hadn't told her anything more would make her a little giddy and excited, but maybe a little impatient but, she'd get her present in due time.

Reply by DeAnna Ross on July 22, 2009 at 6:53pm Send Message Delete Kirsi reached her hand over and brushed Sabre's cheek. "You're too sweet." She giggles. "I can't tell you how much getting out with you means to me tonight. It's been a very long and difficult week." She leans over and puts her head on Sabre's arm. "I'm sorry I bailed on you at the dinner."

Reply by Jeremy Castro on July 22, 2009 at 6:59pm Delete Sabre sighs contently as she leans against him. A wave of warmth spreading all over him in reaction to her affections. He smiled slightly as she brings up the dinner gone bad. He just shook his head and spoke softly to her, "You have no need to apologize to me Kirsi. It was not your fault. If anything it gave me a very good idea of what to expect from your Uncle and, I still showed up to take you out tonight. So, it just shows you that I am serious about being with you. Any other guy would've just bailed on you, but I'm still here." He turns the car down an old dirt road heading to a portion of the Lake that isn't normally visited by many people. He presses a button on the steering wheel and some soft music starts playing.

"Tell me about yourself Neil..." she uses his mortal name. "Where do you come from... what was your mortal life like? I want to know who you really are."

Reply by Jeremy Castro on July 22, 2009 at 7:14pm Delete Sabre keeps his eyes on the road, navigating around the potholes like he's done a hundred times before. As she speaks his real name he smiles. Something about hearing her say his real name didn't bother him, like it would if anyone else dared to use it. He parks the car at a small clearing that over looks a small beach. He turns the car off but doesn't kill the power to the radio, "I grew up in the Midwest. My family moved all over, because of my father's job. he was an architect and he dragged my family from place to place for his work. I finally got a little bit of normalcy when we moved to Chicago for my first year of high school. I actually got to stay there for all of my high school days. Are you sure you really want to hear all of this?" He smiles at her.

"Do you have any idea how wonderful it is to hear about the details of someone's normal life after all I've been through." She shakes her head. "It gives me hope that maybe... " She stops. "Just keep going." She leans her head back down. "I'm listening."

Reply by Jeremy Castro on July 22, 2009 at 7:54pm Delete Sabre looks into her eyes as she sits up, and nods when she asks him to continue, "Well, I had my first race in my third year in high school. They called it a duck race back then. I'm not sure if its still done or still called that. The idea of it is, you take two racers in two old junk cars facing a cliff about a quarter mile away. The winner is the one who jumps out of his car last. The race I was in was over a girl and I won it. After that race I was hooked. I started taking classes on fixing cars, autoshop. I built my first car before the end of my 4th year of high school. I've been racing ever since."
