Thread: Follow Up (Attn: Maddy) 10/06/2009

Maddalena arrives exactly on time, she is reading from a file folder and somehow manages not to run into anything as she maneuvers to her usual chair. She looks up and sees Sabre. "Well now." She smiles in what she hopes is a friendly manner. "You were not who I was expecting. How may I be of service?" She sits down and gives Sabre her full attention.

Sabre stands as she enters the room and remains standing until she sits. He smiles as she expresses her surprise and says, "I did not expect to be here myself. It seems the one who does speak for my family no longer associates themself with the Camarilla. So being the longest member of my family in good standing other than Art who has no desire to speak for us any longer, I took it upon myself to come and speak for my family."

Maddalena smiles at Sabre. "I am pleased that you have come then. The questions stand. What is your clan willing to offer to help protect the city and what does your clan expect from its court?"

Sabre nods and says, "Those of us that remain loyal to the Camarilla offer what we've always offered. Our steadfast and capable abilities to defend this city. In return we ask only for what has always been ours, domain over Prairie State Park and the City Park and Lake."

Maddalena takes out her file folder and writes something in it. She nods slowly as she puts the folder away. "This is noted. We appreciate clan Gangrel's attendance in the matter. I am sorry to hear that Alayna no longer considers herself Camarilla. This changes many things. We are pleased though that you are still loyal to the Ivory Tower and your loyalty will not go unnoticed. We appreciate the time you've taken to meet with me and we will not take up any more of it than necessary. So, unless you have more you wish to speak on, your obligation in this matter is complete." She speaks in a kindly manner letting him know that if he does want to stay and talk, she is willing, but if he wants to leave he can.

Sabre nods and speaks plainly, "Its not that she has made the decision yet, but it is something she is considering. I hope she will change her mind, but, it is her mind to make up. The fact that I currently am remaining, may change her mind and she may stay. I just felt it necessary to take the initiative to make sure my clan was represented here."

Maddalena chuckles. "You have done far better than some of the other clans. Your picking up of the slack is to be applauded. Not everyone would step up for their clan as you have. I know that many in the city think I am a joke of a seneschal. But I do truly have the safety of this city in mind with all of the decisions I make in my duties. If there is anything I can do to aid Alayna in her decision, please do not hesitate to ask."

Sabre smiles and nods, "Thank you. For the record, you are not a joke as a Seneschal. You're probably the best one this city has had since Cahill made me Seneschal for the brief two hours before his fall. At least you do something. Calhoun was good at your position and I would've served equally as good, and I think you do the position proud as well."
