Thread: An Opening Notice (Attn: ALL)

Mackenzie walks out of an office at hearing someone nearby. She smiles at Ephraim. "Good evening. How are you?"

She walks over to the board and her eyes light up. "Ah, Ms. Black has been telling me all about the store. I am very excited to come see it."

"Hello Miss. I'm quite fine! I must confess I have been making myself very rare around here. I intend to change that. I hope nothing awfully bad happend in my abstinence?

He watches her reading the note
"Yes, I'm quite excited about that myself. I have been working very hard to get the store running."

Mackenzie's eyes and face turns unreadable and she just looks at him for a moment before answering. "Well, sir, the city is a living, breathing entity that is constantly changing and moving. If you have kept up to date with my reports then you know the most significant of the events that have transpired. The fall of Kansas City is something I consider awfully bad."

She looks back at the note with a slight smile. "Yes, I am greatly looking forward to seeing this place. I am sure your hard work will seem well worth it at the opening."

Walking into the area where Mackenize and Ephraim are talking, "Ah friendly faces." he smiles, "Good evening to you both. How have you been?"

Mackenzie turns and smiles at Pius. "Good evening. I am fairly well, thank you. Yourself?" She points to the board. "The new bookstore is having a grand opening celebration."

Walking over to Mackenize, "Yes, It is and I have to say that Mr. de Motte did a wonderful job with everything. I am sure that the evening will go great."

looking to Ephriam, Pius nods and smiles. "How have you been?"

Gia moved quietly into the atrium, the disguise ever present this evening as she did so, duller colors in the longer sleeves, tugging them down a bit more when she caught sight of a few that were already here, each of them people she did recognize. It was not an interruption of their conversation, other than to offer a few words of greeting at first. "Evening.." It was directed to the three of them, the bag that was always carried around finding a place on a nearby chair.

A little heavier than other nights, it was a few things to add to her growing collection of belongings, having avoided such things for the most part since she got here. It was of course curiosity that had her glancing to the board they were gathered around, slipping over as hands slid into the pockets of the pants she currently wore to take a look at what had been posted.

As Gia, speaks Pius turns to her, "Good evening. It is starting look like you will need a few more people to help you with all of your items." as she moves to a chair and sits down.
