(( ooc: Kalie will go first to Maddalena and ask for her to arrange a meeting with Calhoun in exchange for a trival boon. If she agrees to the proposal and manages to arrange the meeting the following scene takes place in a corner of the museum atrium which allows them to notice if anyone is walking up on them so they can quit speaking in time for others not to over hear. ))
Kalie -- dressed in a sharp-looking, tan-colored leather jacket, a silk green blouse & a crisp pair of dark blue denium jeans -- sits in a corner of the museum and awaits the arrival of the Prince.

Reply by Charlie on September 16, 2009 at 12:32pm Send Message Delete Closing her book, Kalie stands to greet him and will smirk as well at his coined phrase. "The pleasure is all mine Exalted one. I am honored that you would agree to meet with me in person despite the burdens of ruling that are no doubt demanding your attention. Indeed it is this very burden on which I wish to speak with you about."
"As one of the emerging forces of leadership within this city, my family recognizes our responsibility to you and your Princedom. With the announcement of your court it was known by all that my clan supports you fully and completely and we wish to service you in whatever capacity you deem fit.”
Kalie pauses a moment and leans back into her chair. “However, I must admit. With so many of my clan now serving you directly as members of your court I find myself a skilled horseman with no reins so to speak. While a horse is noble and strong, it is a creature of flight and will run recklessly if not skillfully guided over the rocky terrain and young stallions tend to need a bit and a firmer hand.”
“I ask you good Prince, is there some service I might do for your Praxis that might prove my worthiness of such standings within your city and enable me to bridle my clan?”
Reply by DeAnna Ross on September 16, 2009 at 6:02pm Send Message Delete Calhoun laughs. "And just think... I failed to wash my ass properly tonight." He smirks and reigns in his enthusasium. "Forgive me. I don't mean to be insulting... I do see your problem but, if I simply recognized every person who needed the upper hand to keep things under control eventually I'd have to be doing what you're doing... to a Justicar. I hope you see my problem?"
Calhoun sits back into a chair comfortably, "As you can imagine I'm already well aware of your popularity among the other kindred. You single handedly pulled that primogen council together and arguably it's you alone I have to thank for my Praxis... even before my own childer. Some say that you have more political sway than I have right now... however, you'd have to have balls bigger than a Brujah to openly say that." He shrugs.
"The sane Prince would leave you weak and wait for your clansmen to over run you... to keep you impotent to do anything other than struggle to keep your clan in line as I have enough problems in this domain without meeting a worthy opponent head on politically. However..." He raises one elongated index finger to silence any possible protests or commentary, "I have it on good authority that you want this seat about as much as I do and that... that makes you worth something both to me and to this city. Tell me, how well do you know your current clanmates, and do they hold you in the same regard as the other neonates of the domain?"
