A lean man, dressed in jeans, a button down shirt, and a creme colored trench and black fedora walks into the Museum. His hair is sandy brown, his face is rather forgettable with no real distinguishing features.
Hands in his pockets, Calhoun crosses the room and joins Pius. "Evening sir. How can I be of service?"
"The topic that's on everyone's lips but no one seems to know a great deal about. I'll admit that I have limited information to provide at this time but, I may be able to do some digging for you if you can give me a little time." He smiles.
"I have a reputation for getting information for a good reason after all... what I don't have, however, is a way to defend myself and my clanmates against creatures of an infernal nature and I think we both know the rumors about that thing in the prairie. Can the Tremere magic provide me with something of that nature in exchange for information?"
"Sir, If you seek protection from Demons and the Infernal, when I am sure that is something that I can aid you with. As for the Seals, The Battle of the Praire was the third seal broken, I have only been in the city since Nov of last year.
I am trying to find out what the first two seals where? Much of the information that we have found points to the Myth and Legend of Solomon. This information came from a Tremere member in Springfield, Mo. who was trying to combat the Baali, Joseph Hearting.
Calhoun nods. "Interesting. Well, as for the previous seals... there are two major enviromental events that stand out in my mind in the last year. One was after the visit of a carnival that came through town in September. The sky burned all night in an interesting 'natural' phenomina caused by a fire where the carnival had been."
He leans back in the chair he chose to sit in, "The second was at the first of the year when one of the stars in the night sky seemed to be larger and brighter than normal... and ironically placed in the sky so it appeared over the Lamar Heights area of town."
He thinks for a moment, "There was also an incident where a few members of the city claimed to all be having very realistic dreams during the day... nightmares that caused each of them to be quite high strung for a time and to persue an artifact of a magical nature."
"You say a star appeared in the sky the first of this year?"
~almost in a whisper and staring off somewhere~
"And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of rivers, and the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."
~slums back in his chair~
"Mr. Calhoun, do you know of Wormwood? An Elder like yourself, I am sure you have heard rumors. Now this makes sense, this is far bigger then I originally thought. Now, to figure out what this Baali has to do with anything."
"I'm not a noddist per say but I do dabble. The star wasn't new, just brighter some how. So I don't know if it's this wormwood you speak about... just something I've had several people mention as though it were meaningful and so it bore mentioning."
"As for the Baali... if that is what this thing is, and not someone trying to convince of his evil by masquerading as such, I wouldn't be able to guess at what he wants just that it's not likely good for any of us."
"No, I mean the Baali in Springfield. I am unsure of what the thing in the Prairie was. Only that it has been destoryed but it is evil and evil will reform somewhere else."
"Maybe it is not then, but there are allot of strange things going on. I do thank you for pointing out those two matters it will help in looking into the matters more."
"Is there a type of protection that you are looking for, Mr. Calhoun?"
"You're the expert, what might you suggest? I have heard stories of weapons that bite deep and places where these things can not go if a Tremere wills it. Either would ensure my continued help in aquisition of information on this topic."
