Calling Izabella Black (Att:Izabella and any) 7-1-10
Mackenzie walks into the Coffee Haus, scanning the room. There were a few people in here tonight, but not so many that a private conversation would be difficult. She orders a hot and foamy drink and goes over to sit in a corner. She pulls out her phone and sends a text to the number Boone gave her.
<T> Ms. Black, I would like to talk with you when you have time. I am currently at the Coffee Haus, but will make myself available to a place and time of your choosing should you wish.
Mackenzie sets the phone on the table and opens up a newspaper to read, occasionally glancing around the room and to the door.
Mackenzie smiles broadly. "Yes, please." She folds up the newspaper. "I'm sorry that we haven't had the opportunity to speak much since I came to the City. How are you this evening?"
"That is ok, Mackenize. There have been allot of things going on these past months." She smiles are face is full of color, some much so she looks normal.
"I am doing very well this evening. I have been busy with a new project and I am happy that it is going along well. What about you? How are you doing?"
Mackenzie smiles and nods. "I'm glad to hear things are going well for you. I am doing well, thanks. You were highly recommended as someone to ask to continue with the previous position you had with Lydia." She smiles at her. "I had not had the opportunity to speak with you until now and I wanted your thoughts on the matter."
"And I look forward to working and getting to know you better as well. I have some questions, but I think another place away from everyone would be better for that chat."
She flips her hair
"So, It is my understand that there could be a large poker game coming up soon. Have you been to one of those yet? I am going to be very interested to see how that goes. I don't know how to play Texas hold'em but I am willing to learn. Also have you heard about the waste that is being dumped into the Lake by a large company? It is just wrong for them to do these things and someone should put a stop to it."
Mackenzie nods at Isabella. "Soon then." She listens carefully and cocks her head. "Poker tournament? No, I had not, but then again I was occupied at the last one and didn't get a chance to find much out about that one until long after."
She frowns. "Waste? In the lake..." Her eyes narrow. "Yes, something needs to be done about that. Is that a conversation for another place also?"
She looks down at the coffee, long past hot, and shrugs. "I like the look of the foam, but not the taste." She smiles.
Izabella leans across the table a bit and whispers.
"It seems that Wal-Max is dumping waste into the Lake. It has done things to the animals that live in it and that drink from it. It is not very nice of them and I do believe that they should be stopped. From what I know, you and ours are very fond of the wildlife and nature. I am to so I figured that I would share that with you as well."
