Emma walks in and straight over to JT's table. She looks at his collection of rocks and quirks an eyebrow. "Runes of some kind?" She pulls up a chair. "So you're into divinations?"

JT lifts his head suddenly, as he hadn't heard her entrance at all and was completely surprised by her arrival. Certainly his eyes seem wider than normal, like the eyes of a man searching for a hay-straw in a stack of syringes.

"Divination... yes... You could say that..."

Quickly he begins gathering the ecclectic mass of notes and odd scrawling texts, though how he would expect anyone else to decipher the odd symbols and characters written on each page is a bigger mystery than it may be worth to solve. He stacks them up face down and folds them before slipping the mass into his book bag.

"I'm... I apologize. I got... caught up...." JT finished putting the various things away and finally seems to compose himself.

"Again, my apologies, i should not have allowed myself to be so engrossed as to be rude. Thank you for meeting me again. I'd thought you might have serious misgivings about meeting with me again."

"My father always use to say that you shouldn't lock the door when people who might need you are still outside." She smiles. "I barely know you JT, I see no reason to hold a grudge. I'm just sorry you caught me on such a bad night last time. I've been under a lot of pressure lately and haven't really bene myself. Perhaps we should start over?" She arches an eyebrow.

JT smiles slightly, as though relieved. "Quite, and as a gift of hello..."

James pulls a small key from his pocket and sets it on the table in front of Emma. "The O'Hara collection in the University restricted materials has some fascinating items; business ledgers, written correspondences, personal journals and unique treatises. It's a shame that it is too valuable to be in public use. History should belong to everyone."

"Especially those that lived it.."

JT picks up his coffee and inhales over the cup."The library closes at ten unless previous arrangements are made. I can arrange something for you, but I would need to be present."

Emma's jaw drops slightly as JT explains what it is. Her fingers reach out and close around the key like a small starving child gripping the last precious bite of bread. For a moment she holds it to her heart and it seems she might kiss it, but she doesn't. Emma swallows. "You have no idea what this gift means to me... " She licks her lip. "Thank you."

Looking up at JT. "I'll be sure not to abuse your gift. No one will ever see me there, I can promise you that."

JT smiles very slightly at her response. It is a smile that speaks of relief, understanding, and a quiet longing hidden deep inside the odd little Tremere.

But the smile quickly fades. "I wish that were all I asked you here for. I ... had to try to make sure we could work together."

"So you're looking for Razor." She says softly. "JT, I don't mean to be rude but you need to know that if you're going after him that I don't think I'd put money on you being victorious. Not to toot my own horn but I couldn't take him and he's the man who killed my sire. I sincerely doubt that you have something bigger in that magic book of yours than my sire's elder fists. No offense meant."

JT nods. "This is not news to me... But no one is invincible. For every Goliath, there can be a David, every Achilles, a heel waiting to be exploited..."
