Thread: Dirty Deeds (attn: Kalie & Logan & Eric)

((OOC: This is assuming that Eric comes with us. If not we can edit that part.))

Kalie spins around and instantly her hands are clinched into fists and she protectively places herself between the man in the shadows and the two gentlemen that were escorting her.

Her gaze trying to penetrate the inky darkness of the alleyway as her mind thinks it recognizes a familiar voice.

"Colonel Walker?"

Benjamin speaks in quick, hushed tones. "Yes. We must talk."

Kalie's voice becomes hushed, "I'd say I just got through putting our leader on alert. I suspect a new threat to the city."

Logan strode a few steps ahead of his sire, as usual. It was important to keep up appearances, no matter how shaken or furious they might be. He passes the alley, and something feels... off. He starts past the alley, but the voice calls their attention first.

His hand whips out of his jacket pocket, a gleaming straight razor flips open in his hand with the motion.

He tensed and waited for Kalie's reaction, relaxing only slightly as she seems to.

Benjamin sees the razor in Logan's hand, and smiles. "Good. Always be prepared. Always be on alert."

He addresses Kalie directly: "You have accorded yourself well, Kalie. I am truly impressed with your ability to control your Beast."

He waits for her reply, or for any questions, before continuing.

Kalie furrows her brow in uncertainity for a moment, but then her eyes widen in realization and her fists re-clinch.

"You were playing a very dangerous game in there Mr. Walker. I hope your reasons are justifed."

"My actions in this city are always justified, Kalie. Everything was well in hand. But I had to know how you and Logan would react to something like that. There is much to be done in the next few weeks, and I have to trust in your control in any situation before I can bring you in. And though Logan may be 'young' to our sect, I believe his spirit is strong. That will be very important."

Benjamin looks at Logan as if seeing him, really seeing him, for the first time.

Eric listens silently to the exchange. The only noticeable reaction to any event was when the voice first was heard, Eric shifted balance to the balls of his feet.
