Thread: Out for a Stroll (Att: Anyone)

About to walk into the Coffee Haus Jinx pauses, her ears almost pricking up to the sound of someone whistling. A half a block ahead, strolling down the street is a man with her back towards her. Even at a distance she recognises him as one of her own.

Curious, she follows silently after him.

Christopher Slade is out on his nightly wandering. He is a young man, wearing a black fedora strapped with a blood red hat band, as well as a black leather jacket over a bare chest. The only other things of interest are the overly long leather gloves over his forearms, and the black eye mask over his left eye. dispite his appearence, Chris stops in his tracks, at the sight of the new wanderer, as if he were the strangest thing he'd seen.

Ahead a young man appears to stop in his tracks at the sight of the other Malkavian.

Jinx quickly steps back into the shadows waiting to see what happends next.

Curiouser and curiouser

Ferguson slows his walk incrementally, his whistling dwindling as he eventually comes to a full stop. He whispers, "By the pricking of my thumbs,
something wicked this way comes."

Standing on spot and slowly turning around, his eyes are slit as he peers into the shadows about him. He starts as he sees the smartly dressed young man. Ferguson studies the black clad vampire for a few moments, all squinty-eyes and with his lips pursed. As though satisfied with something, he nods his head and smiles.

"Ho there stranger, would you care to stroll with me for a while? My name is Laurent, Laurent Ferguson, and I would love the company."

Just like that, the other Malkavian speaks with the young man.

Jinx shakes her head to herself, her bob of jet black hair ruffles then settles.

What kind of person would speak so calmly to a stranger...everyone here so trusting...

Christopher raises an eyebrow in thought, then nods.
"Okay, the name's Christopher Slade"
He puts his hands in his pockets, and keeps his left eye on the tail, through the mask, so they won't notice. He hopes his knife won't be necessary.

"A pleasure, Mr. Slade. I say, are you familiar with the this portion of the city? I'm recently arrived in Lamar and looking to acclimate myself with my new surroundings.

"I was hoping there might be a jazz bar within walking distance of my residence, but alas, my fortune isn't as brilliant as I might've hoped. I love a good jazz bar; the scent of smoke, the press of the crowd compacted in a tiny room hovering over tiny, guttering votive candles, the paradoxically discordant yet perfectly timed notes being bandied about by the genius of the players...

"But I digress," Ferguson coughs, looking a little embarrassed.

Christopher grins, "well, let's see, there's Purgatory, a bar in the Pit, then there's also Club Indigo and the Cabaret in Old Town" He shrugs, "I'm pretty new here myself, but those are what I know of, music and drinks wise"
