Vlad eyes Jack coldly, wondering if he could get away with staking him, and decides that it wouldn't be a smart career move for a new whip to stake a clansmen without being attacked, no matter how bad the impulse is. He sighs and rubs his temples, then takes out his flask, and takes a long pull from it before replacing it inside his jacket. He waits to see if anyone else has any more to say.
