Thread: Reaching out (attn:Benjamin) 3/24/10

Text: Meet @ my warehouse tonight.

A.J. arrives at the warehouse a half hour later. He's dressed in his usual black shirt and blue jeans. He's without his trench coat this evening though. He walks over to the side door and knocks hard enough that anyone inside could clearly hear it.

Benjamin opens the door to let AJ in. "What can I do for you tonight?" He leads AJ to an office, and takes a seat behind the desk.

A.J. takes note of his surroundings as he is lead into the office. Once inside he casually browses the layout before taking a seat and looking at Benjamin. He says, "First I'd like to thank you for seeing me. I know you're a busy man with your duties and such, so I appreciate it. What brings me here tonight is, I've wanted to get a chance to talk to you about something that has been weighing on my mind."

Benjamin simply says, "I am listening."

A.J. looks him in the eyes and says, "I feel like I can contribute more to this city than just a five star restaurant. I'd like to be more involved when it comes to the protection of the city. I guess what I'm saying is, I'd like to work with you. I feel like there's things I can contribute and a lot that I can learn from someone like you."

Benjamin listens closely to AJ before replying. "I feel you have much to contribute as well. Let us put this theory to the test, AJ. Find out everything and anything you can about 'Meg'. Report back to me in one week with all of the information you have gathered about her. Then we will continue this discussion."

Benjamin stands, and opens the office door for AJ.

A.J. shakes his head in frustration as he stands up. Benjamin had selected the one individual that no one ever wanted to talk about. Everytime he'd asked anyone any questions about Meg it was always, no answers. He looks at Benjamin and says, "I'll do what I can to find out about Meg, but you sure pick the toughest topics to get people to talk about." He steps through the office door and says, "Thank you for the opportunity though. I'll do the best I can with it."
