Thread: Freak out-Le Chic style (attn Corin, Lenore, any)

Lenore, sitting at her new desk, stands and moves to intercept the woman. Her demeanor and Cajun drawl may suggest relaxation, but something in her eyes says that attempting to push past her would be an...unintelligent decision. "Ma'am, do you have an appointment?"

The woman stops dead in her tracks, and turns her head to face Lenore. Though certainly a mortal, if the salty tears still drying on her cheeks are any sign, her gaze is cold as ice, and purest steel, forged in her unweilding backbone.

"I *Always* have an appointment with Michael, you silly little bimbo." She starts to move around Lenore without looking at her a second time.

Corin hearing Lenore speaking to someone walks out of her office and towards the lobby.

"Excuse me, did you just call my receptionist a bimbo?"

She looks the woman up and down.

Lenore, though smiling inwardly at any mortal with that sort of bite, shows on her face nothing but determination, grit, and the 'fuck you' politeness that was perfected in the South. "Ma'am. I was told of no such...arrangement. I am new, and if you'll give me a moment, I can call in for you. However, if you insist on trying my patience, I'll have to ask you to leave." She says all of this in polite, yet icy tones, as she stands her ground in front of the mortal woman, somehow seeming to take up all of the space in the doorway. ((commanding 3, if it makes a difference on this forum! ))

Corin watches as Lenore speaks to the woman and smiles. She knew she had made the right choice for a receptionist. She looks at the woman, and waits for her answer.

The woman looks at Corin with a stare that would wither other mortals.

"Your office?" She sneers. "I don't think so. You expect me to believe that Michael has some tart running his pride and joy? Hmmph..."

As she sees that her jibes have not reduced the two women to cowering. She backs off of both women a half step, a twinge of something that is not quite fear flashes through her eyes before she regains her steel.

"MICHAEL! I KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE! COME OUT HERE, PLEASE..."

She starts to shout...

Corin looks at the woman in the eyes.

"He's dead you twat! I bought this place in his memory..."

Lenore raises an eyebrow. She is clearly out of patience. She glances for a brief moment at her appointment-book. "I'm sorry, ma'am. Neither this tart, nor the tart running this office seem to have any time to spare on you. I'll have to ask you to leave. Now." She takes the woman by the elbow, not using enough strength to betray her true nature, or to hurt the woman. However, as Lenore steers the blonde toward the office doors, the mortal woman will find that she is incapable of escaping the vampire's grasp. "Good evening."
