Thread: A House In Mourning (Monday Night - atn: Tino, Kalie, et all)

Constantino steps from the limo and smiles up at Emma. "Buena Sera, Bella."

Waiting for Guiseppe to come around to his side of the vehicle he looks up at the sky watching a private jet fly over heading east. Once the ghoul is at his side he looks back to Emma. "Don't worry, its not as bad as you might think."

He reaches in and takes the long box that carries his "sister" and pulls waiting for Guiseppe to retrieve the other end before walking to the house. His own movements are slow and methodical, like he hasn't fully healed all of his wounds. The two take the box downstairs and set it in the office. Turing to Emma, he opens the box to reveal Kalie, missing an arm and badly burned. "I assume you can wake her, I'm not sure how that works with...her sire being so potent." He tries to look as compassionate and patient as possible but he's obviously preoccupied. "Just don't touch the sword," Tino looks at his hand and clenches it several times. "It did more damage to me than the zombies, the bomb, and Ungol combined," he tries to lighten the mood with a joke.

Emma nods. "Let's take care of this first then." She turns her wrist to her mouth, sinking her fangs into her own flesh and allowing the blood to well up from her wrist.

"Alright Kalie... come back to us." She puts the wrist to Kalie's lips and opens her mouth with her other hand. The thick, sweet smelling vitae slowly oozes into the mouth of her sister until it's potency brings her conciousness back around.

Bracing herself she allows Kalie to feed from her as though she were some sort of human vessel, making sure that her Sister has enough blood to heal the most basic of her wounds and that she is not near starvation. As soon as it's clear Kalie is not in frenzy and able to control her urges, Emma takes her hand back and licks the wound closed.

"I'm so very glad that you both made it out of Brazil." She hugs Kalie, holding her for a long moment as if pulling some needed strength from her Sister's presence.

It was only the second time Kalie had been awaken from torpor. The first time she had opened her eyes to see those of her sire' looking down upon her. This time she looked into the eyes of her sister and takes only the barest of what she must -- prehaps even not taking as much as she should in her desire to protect Emma.

As her sister hugs her she recongizes the added length of the embrace.

Had something happen? Had there been attack on the children? Had Logan not been successful?

"Thank you Emma. It is good to be home," she says as she hugs the Brujah and closes her eyes.

An image of Logan singing to her comes to mind at her final words. "Land of Bear and land of eagle..."

Constantino stand by "patiently" waiting. He takes a step back as the blood begins to flow from Emma just in case his mood brings the beast to the surface. After all, doubt is a powerful thing.

Once the wounds as closed and the embrace between the two kindred begins he approaches again and offers a hand to the formerly torpored kindred, to help her from her box.
