Thread: Romeo and Juliet (attn: NPC:Lisa)

After watching Roscoe wait from the window for a good while, Lisa carefully crept out of the mansion and down to their secret meeting place. She was dressed in nice casual pants and a button down blouse. Her hair and makeup done perfectly. She tried not to smile stupidly at him, but her eyes sparkled with happiness at his return.

"Hey there stranger..." She tried to play it cool...

As he heard Lisa's voice of wave of emotions spilled all over him. He turned to face her, but instead of remaining standing in one place he finished the final steps between them and wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to him tightly. He just held her there for a long moment without saying a word before finally breathing the words, "I've missed you so much, by her ear." He paused only for a moment before he began to apologize for leaving without notice, "I'm so sorry I had to leave for so long and couldn't let you know. There hasn't been a day that I haven't regretted it and missed you."

Lisa smiled and hugged him back tightly unable to play cool with him touching her. She leaned her head back and kissed his cheek.

"So what *can* you tell me about where you've been? Vanishing like that is enough to give a girl a complex you know." She grinned widely, obviously joking.

Roscoe melts into her arms as he feels the warmth of her lips on his cheek. It had been too long since he'd felt the warmth of someone who loved him. After a few moments of just holding her, he loosened his grasp just enough to look into her eyes as he spoke with a sorrowful tone, "I had to prompt a sighting of myself in Alabama. My family was getting too close to finding me, so I had to throw them off my trail." There is an obvious sadness in his eyes as speaks about it.

Once finished with that statement, he begins to walk her away from the grounds, leading her away from the house and over a nearby hill, into the edge of the woods. It was obvious he wanted to spend some time alone with her. Once past the edge of the woods where they couldn't be seen he takes a seat on the ground, leaning back against a tree. He then motions for her to sit down in front of him with her back to him. Once she is seated he wraps his arms around her and holds her close.

"So about this complex thing. I can assure you, you have nothing to worry about. My heart does and always will belong to you." He wraps his arms tightly around her and kisses her shoulder softly.

She smiles fondly at him but then her face turns serious.

"Roscoe, I have to tell you... Madame Du Lac is planning a cotillion. A dance. I'm not the oldest girl, but close. Sooner or later she's going to try to give me as a mate to someone..."

Roscoe frowns as he hears this. It angered him that her family put more faith and stock into bloodlines than love. He didn't want her to be shipped away to marry someone she has never known, someone she didn't love. He forces the sadness from his eyes and leans in to kiss her softly. When finished he looks at her and says, "We could run away together."

Lisa's smile turns a little sad as she ruffles his hair.

"You know as well as I do that we can't run away. I will do everything I can to remain unappealing. I think I'm still a bit too young yet anyway. The rest of the girls are all excited about it though. Apparently there's going to be a Garou there too. Some woman that's moved here recently. I can't remember what her name is but (insert description of Dee's character here). Maybe you could talk to her and see if she'll help me stay out of the limelight?"

Roscoe shrugs and shakes his head. He couldn't recall ever meeting this Garou before. He looks at her sadly and says, "How could you ever be unappealing? You're gorgeous. I just don't know why you like gutter trash like me."

She gives him a mock frown that she's given him every time he's brought this up.

"Because you like me for me, not because of my blood or my parents. That's something I treasure more than all the money in the world. You treat me like I'm special, not like I'm cattle. Will you try to find the garou woman for me?"
