Thread: An Offer

Ash responds, "Kalie, you don't have to call me My Lord, I am still Ash Winters. Ash is just fine. As for your request, I will meet with you. Would ten this evening at my studio work for you? If not, we can always meet in the Museum."

Kalie responds, "10 pm at your studio is acceptable. I will see you then."

At exactly 10 pm, Kalie arrives at the studio and walks in expecting to be greeted by the young female who greeted her the last time.

"Good Evening, I have an appointment to see Mr. Winters this evening."

Ginelle answers the door, "Good evening, Kalie, is it? Mr. Winters is waiting for you by his workbench. This way please."

Ash is sitting at his bench. There is a rough clay sculpture of four angels facing each other wings fully outstretched behind them. Looking up at her entrance, "Good evening, Kalie."

Ash turns to Ginelle. "Thank you my dear. Would you be so good as to prepare refreshments for us and then you can have the rest of the night to yourself."

Turning back to Kalie, "What can I do for you this evening?"

Kalie's eyes are drawn to the clay structure, "First, I would like to thank you very much for the magnificent statue you created that now sits on the MSU campus in front of the library. I realized that my childe comissioned it, but the work down was absolutely excellentional."

Her smiling gaze returns to look up at Ash. "The second is to make you an offer. If it pleases you, I offer my counsel as an advisor and teacher to you."

Ash smiles at Kalie, "I am very pleased that you liked it. It truly is the first work I have ever publicly displayed. I do hope that it filled its intended purpose."

Ash pauses, "An offer most excellent, but I would know the details. I mean no disrespect, but I have not gotten where I am without realizing that offers come with price tags amongst our kind. I do place value upon your council though and I thank you very much for the information that you gave to me while speaking with Jano the other night. It made a situation much easier that could have gone very wrong very easily."

Kalie nods. "You are correct. In exchange, I would like to be keeped up in the loop as far as intel goes. You know the circle of friends in which I run. We want this city to be stable. In order to help make that happen we need to know the happenings in the city. Also my personal research into the seals is greatly affected by my ability to get accurate information about investigations."

"Would this be an acceptable deal for you?"

Ash nods, "And in return I would gain instruction in?"

"I could make some possible suggestions, but a student learns best if they are interested in the subject being taught. My knowledge is vast and most everything I know can be taught to another."
