Ash texts back, "Great, be there in a bit. And I have a meeting with JTM at the shop as well tonight. I already know what he wants. I doubt he will get it though."

Reading the text she shakes her head, Damn him. JTM is always bothering people
Texting back "You should tell him no. I'll be here when the meeting is over. Have a surprise for you."

Smiling she gets up and walks back in the other room. Coming back in the room she is carrying a package and a bottle of wine and two glasses. Setting the extra glass down she pours herself a drink. Sitting back she opens the package and looks at what is inside. I hope he likes it

Wrapping it back up carefully she drinks her wine and watches tv as she waits.

Text to Ash from Benjamin:

Text back to Ben, <text>I have a meeting with JTM and then to welcome Lydia back. I am free any time after that this evening. Or if not to nigt I can make myself available any other time.</text>

Ash comes upstairs and Lydia can see there is a bit of tension in the corners of his eyes. "JTM just left, I am sorry that took so long. (about a half hour) He sure knows how to piss someone off doesn't he? Imagine showing up and almost demanding I make him sheriff. Ah well, I got what I needed from him. Now, about that surprise?"

"At least you got his crap out of the way and can move on to more pleasant things."
Lydia smiles at him and motions him to sit on the couch with her. After pouring him a drink she picks up the package and hands it to him. Leaning back she waits for him to open it. Inside a black box is

Ash sits back and holds the package in his lap. "A gift?" He turns it over in his hands and shakes it like a child on Christmas and smiles. "Thank you."

He opens the package and then opens the case. "Oh...very nice." He takes one of the tools out and looks at it. "Very nice indeed. Thank you very much, Lydia."

Ash looks at the drink and then at Lydia. Picking up the drink, "A toast then?"

Lydia laughs as Ash acts like a child opening his present.

"I'm glad you like it." Picking up her drink "Yes a toast, to friends?"

looking serious "I want to apologize about my recent activities. I didn't mean for anyone to get hurt."

Lydia smiles again. "I did enjoy my vacation. I really needed time to myself. I had an excellent host. I learned some valuable things. "
