Thread: Window Shopping and a Meeting - 06/30/10 (ATTN: Seneschal Ash Winters only)

Ash is sitting at his workbench working on what looks like a wing. Noticing the window shopper he watches him for a few moments and then motions to the gentleman to come in when he knocks.

"Hello, i am looking for a Mr.Winters. That would't happen to be you by chance would it?" Dr. Antoiné-René Dupré said in a soft voice, as the door closed behind him. Walking closer to see a few of the sculptures that were finished, "I am Dr. Antoiné-René Dupré and i live outside lamar at the Seven Stars Bed & Breakfast, i think you may be able to assist me in my current endeavor..." his voice said trailing off.

Ash nods, "Yes, I am Ash Winters. What endeavor could I be of assistance with?"

Ash sets the piece he is working on down and watches the man move about the store.

As Dr. Antoiné-René Dupré continued looking at the sculptures, the Seneschal Mr. Winters spoke.
"I first contacted Mr. Giovanni about a meeting of 'toleration', but sadly he won't be available for the foreseeable future. He or his messaging service told me, and that someone would be intouch. Guess i truly have been away for awhile, so i stopped by the 'museum' and saw a note by you and about you so thought i'd stop by too see if you may be helpful in the matter at hand."
As Dr. Antoiné-René Dupré finished he saw what maybe the best piece of art he's seen in ages, admiring its exsquisite form and craftsmanship, he thought he had to have it just bigger, it was what looked like Julius Ceasar meets David. A piece he must have if only it was a bit bigger.

Ash listens to Antoine's explaniation, wonder which family this one was from if he was seeking out Constantino.

"Dr. Dupre, I take it since you sought out Mr. Giovanni first that you are from one of the Idependant families. May I ask which family you hale from?"

"Yes sir, i am a Follower of Set or Setite. But i am no independant, i was and always have been a Camarilla Setite dear sir. I follow the Towers' ways as my sire did and his sire, before dying by the hands of those 'Serpents of Light' bastards. I know my kind is looked down up by some, I knew a couple of Archons and swore my alliegiance to the Justicar, before i went into a very long sleep." Dr. Antoiné-René Dupré said worried what this Seneschal may do, if he wanted him dead, the Dr. thought this artist wouldn't have asked questions first.
"All i am asking is to be part of the city that i lived in since i can remember, way before the streets were paved and electricity was strung from residence to residence."

Ash listens to the Setite and nods appeciatively at the mention of his having sworn to Archons.

"Well, Dr. Dupre, I applaud you on your swearing to Archons your loyalty to the Tower. Of course I will have to check the validity of your words, but I am sure you would not come before me and try to lie about something as important as a meeting with an Archon. I am taking you at your word on this, if it is found that you are lying then it will not bode well for your stay in Lamar. I am sure you understand."

Ash pauses to let that sink in.

"Dr. Dupre, here is what I ask in return for offering the Prince's Toleration to you. You will owe me a minor boon for extending the Prince's Toleration to you in place of Mr. Giovanni's word. You will owe Prince Cahill a Trivial boon as is the common price for the place he offers you in his city. Finally I wish to know what you can tell me about your Clan. (he is asking for Setite Lore) Will you agree to these terms?"

"Yes you are correct, i have no reason to lie and understand you'll have to check the validity of my claim. I just hope the records here go back that far and are ledgeable, i will willingly give the trivial boon to Prince Cahill, the minor boon to you and the Lore you ask. And boy will you be pleased with what you'll learn, it may open up a whole new world for such a guy like you. This staue here of this man, do you have one similar but larger in size? I wish for something like this, for the garden outside my bed & breakfast i own, i do have money." Dr. Antoiné-René Dupré said while looking at the statue of a man.
