Thread: Entering Society *ATN Toreador Primogen*

Amanda received a text from a friend about the possibility of a new Toreador in town. It was rumored that she was at the college. She hated going there, but hopefully it would be better this time. Besides what if she needs help of some sort? Couldn't let a fellow family member down. Amanda yawned as she decided to get around for the day, like always it was a struggle. She jumped into a hot shower and watched the steam flow around her, at a few minutes of this enjoyment she got out and did her usual things.

Ugh! As long as it takes me to wake up for the day I bet she still isn't even there...

Miranda doesn't often get the opportunity to visit the school, uninterrupted by faculty or students. She uses her time to study the art on the walls. She knows most of them, yet a few are new. She spends a long while studying a portrait of a young woman in rags with a sad face. It is done exceptionally well with an eye to soft light, contrasting the hard emotions. It seems no time at all, yet it's been a few hours, before she hears the footsteps of another on the tile floors. She does not hear the accompanying heartbeat that would signal a human so she turns and readies herself for a meeting with the Kindred.

Amanda approaches the new commer with a smile. She observes the clothes and knows that only a kindred Toreador could have such good fashion and hearing. Amanda moves her fingers through her hair. "Why, hello!" Amanda smiles amd reashes her hand out to meet and greet.

Inwardly Miranda smiles at the fresh, forthright manner of the young vampire in front of her. Taking the outstretched hand, she squeezes it warmly and introduces herself.

"Hello", she says with a grin. "My name is Miranda Montreve, I am pleased to meet another of my kind after having lived alone for so long. What may I call you?"

Amanda was happy to meet a new kindred and the possibility of a new friend. "Alone, eh? Well seems we have a lot to talk about." Amanda nods, "I am Miss Amanda Winters, but you can call me Amanda if you would like, Miranda. So what brings you here?"

"Indeed, I believe we do have much we could discuss." Winters...Winters...where have I heard that name. Then it comes to her, Ha! Those vampire novels that are so popular now. How very very clever for a kindred to have authored them. No wonder they ring so true. "Amanda I must confess I've seen your name before. It seems at least some vampires have a sense of humor for you've written of us most convincingly and yet most consider it fiction." She smiles even brighter and takes the other woman's arm, beginning to walk again.

"I desire to be presented and acknowledged by the Prince, but I've had no contact with my Sire for many years". She looks at Amanda with a slight frown, "I fear the justice of the Elders if I remain isolated any longer and I was hoping for aid from fellow local Toreadors." Her frown turns into an expression of hope.

Amanda nodded her head at the woman as she recognized her. "Good, good." Amanda walked along with Miranda in her usual gracefully klutzy way. Amanda listened intently to what she had to say and just briefly nodded her head at each statement. "Well I must admit I am not sure we can do much in your aid. We are a small clan... Though could you maybe specifie more?" She notes the expression of hope and feels a slight bit of pity. Being soft hearted was always her downfall.

Miranda stops walking at looks up at Amanda, allowing a bit of shock to show in her face. "Surely, a Kindred of rank must have means of procuring access to the Prince for an audience? The Fifth Tradition of Hospitality should be upheld, yes?" She resumes walking.

I want this woman to like me and be eager to have me a part of Toreador society. She presses her free hand to the other's arm and squeezes lightly, smiling at her. ((Magnetic 3))

Amanda laughed. "I am sorry. I didn't understand what you ment. You said from the 'Toreadors'. That is where you lost me; for i am only one Toreador." Amanda continued walking. She glanced as they passed by the art. She was enjoy her walk along the halls. "Of course I can present you! Though I would prefer to do it tomorrow night. I would like to give a bigger warning when I coming. I promise you will not be punished for staying one more night." Amanda was ecstatic to have a new member of the clan. She was almost jealous at how small she was though.
