The sun has set and the Heights beckon. The sky is full of stars, diverting attention from the perils of undeath. Andreas left his haven in order to familiarise himself with his surroundings. Knowing that this area is home to well-to-do families, he was not surprised to see well made, elegant apartments and lavish estates with pruned gardens and fragrant flowers. He envied mortality and he was constantly reminded of it by the occasional encounter with mortal families on the streets. Yet the Beast was part of him and that feeling brought him back to reality. He knew his place and wondered how many kindred called this area home. Lost in thought, he strolled down the streets, hoping to meet someone and talk.
Lydia was walking along not really watching where she was going. Just thinking to herself all she had to do this evening. With her mind on other things she didn't see a man standing right in her path until it was almost to late. She stopped quickly and looked surprised to see him.
Watching him for a moment she knew he was knew to the city. "Oh, hello there. I am sorry I almost ran you over. Are you lost?"
Startled to hear someone addressing him, he immediately noticed a female kindred close to him. Smiling he said:
"Hello miss, sorry for standing in your way, but I was too preoccupied to notice. To answer your question I am indeed new to the city and I am familiarising myself with the area. My name is Andreas Kensington of the Warlocks. Who do I have the pleasure of addressing?"
Smiling at Boone "I am quite well thank you. And how are you this fine evening?"
Turning to Andreas. "No apologies needed. I think we were both off in our own little worlds not paying attention. Nice to meet you Mr. Kensington. I am Lydia Bates, Harpy of this Great City."
"Mr. Kensington this is Mr. Boone, He is of the Warlocks also. What a coincidence that you both just out for a stroll should meet like this.
"A pleasure to meet you too, Miss Bates. To tell you the truth, I had a feeling I would meet a fellow Tremere tonight, but I must tell you that I've been introduced to Mr Boone before.
I am curious though, is there anything interesting you could tell a newcomer about the city? Being a Harpy, I am sure you have seen and heard a lot."
"I'm sure she has heard quite a bit, and too much from some. One should be careful what one says, you never know who might overhear. Being discreet in one's vocabulary tends to prolong one's well-being, wouldn't you say, Miss Lydia?"
Turning to Lydia, "Speaking of prolonging one's well-being, would you be able to direct us in the proper direction of Mr Cahill so that we might ensure this young one doesn't meet up on the wrong side of Mr Amsel?"
"I definitely do not expect miss Bates to share compromising info or any sort of secret with me. I am merely asking what a newcomer should know about the city.
The last thing I want is getting the wrong kind of attention from the Scourge, so I agree that meeting with the Prince is the best course of action right now, if he has the time, of course."
Smiling at Boone while talking to Kensington "He is afraid you might reveal some deep secret of the clan while I am around. That is what he is worried about."
