Lenore sits in her room, staring through the wall opposite her seat on her bed. She has not moved or spoken since she sat down there after returning from the zoo. She is unable to stop watching Anna dissolve into ashes over and over again in her mind. She does not cry; she is beyond tears now. She is immersed, suddenly, in memories of Anna: a smiling face, lifting her up to the table; a gentle laugh, as dirt is scrubbed from hands and knees; a calm hand washing a scraped leg; a swift blur teaching a girl to protect that which is precious to her. Lenore begins to rock back and forth, finally able to weep again. She loses herself in memories and sobs until someone comes to find her.
Corin goes to the old house to get some more of her things, she walks in and calls out for anyone who may hear her. She stops to listen, hearing the crying she moves upstairs and knocks on the door to Lenore's room.

Reason: Typo
Lenore, hearing a knock, is shaken from her reverie and sits up, scrubbing her face with her hands in a futile attempt to remove the traces of tears. "Who....who's there?" Her voice is shaken, and she winces as she hears it.
Lenore sits down on the floor, inviting Corin to do the same. "I'm...well, I suppose you could say I'm in mourning." She snorts. "Although I won't be wearing sackcloth and ashes...there was...a dear friend from my former life...and now she's dead."
"When I was a child...there was a servant in my mother's household; she was really more of a mother to me than the woman that gave me birth. She saved my life, when I tried to end it." Lenore removes a wide bracelet to show Corin a scar across one wrist. "I had accepted, long ago, the likeliness that everyone I knew had died...but..." Tears again begin running down her face. "I was out walking tonight...and I passed through the zoo...and there she was. She told me that my sire had Ghouled her and used her to find me. She told me that he's still out there, and that he wants very badly to find me. She suggested that he's gone mad." Lenore stops, at a loss for words, and looks to Corin.
