Thread: out for a stroll ( anyone 12/13/09)

Link stands ahead of Kendov down the street a bit, leaning against the light post. He's looking up toward the night sky with frustration because he's unable to see the stars. As Kendov approaches he gives him a nod and says, "Sometimes I hate big cities. You just can't see the stars for all the lights on the streets and buildings. You know what I mean?"

vedis cocked his head watching thhe kindred in front of him, he had seen him at the gatherings, so he was acknowledged at least. with a sigh he drew in on the cigar and angled the smoke off to the side.

" walls are for cattle and fools. citys have been the downfall of our kind for over a thousand years " he contemplated in his slow meticulous enunciation. " what brings you out this way?"

Link moves his gaze from the sky over to Kendov and grins as he talks, "Oh, just out for a stroll. I'm not much of a home body like some of the people I roll with. I like to be outside. I was actually thinking about going to Purgatory, but, I just managed to follow my feet and ended up here. What brings you out this way?"

kendov tapped his nose with a soul covered finger. his eyes narrowed and a razor smile peeled back revealing his long stained fangs.

"hunting"

Link quirked and eyebrow with a grin. He wondered to himself what Kendov could be hunting in Tremere territory. Then he thought to himself not totally positive that Kendov wasn't Tremere. He looks at Kendov and asks, "What are ya huntin'?"

a cheap ring in his pocket caught his attention, he stopped fishing out the phone before reading something on the screen.

he made a "tch " noise before looking back to the other kindred " doesnt matter seems it got away. " he moved up past link his hands stuffed in his pockets the claws twitching in a murderous tick

" is there anything else you need of me?"

Link shrugged and says, "I was just making polite conversation. If you gotta be somewhere, don't let me keep you. I was just going to offer to help on your hunt if you wanted any."

" cant be helped. the majority of our kind seems to wrap itself up in a web of meetings and ceremony. i had not expected to see anyone else actually out looking"

kendov turned back to look at the kindred again "what is your clan big one? why do you hunt the night ?

Link laughs as Kendov talks about meetings and ceremonies. It was such a simple truth that Link had begun to recognize over the past year. He shrugged and said, "I'm not much for meetings and ceremonies. I'd rather be out looking for something, anything, than be stuffed in a meeting room or ceremony. I am a.... " he pauses to check to see if there is anyone around, "Brujah."
