[June 09 Storyline Post #6] To Catch a Monk 6/30 @ Albert Monk's Motel
Written by DeAnna
A neon sign blinks as if on the fritz and reads "no vaccancy", out front of the two long ranch style building that houses 25 rooms each. Loud music plays in various rooms, t.v., fights can be heard in some, and of course, sex. To say the place is a dive is to give it credit that it shouldn't be allowed legally to get. This place is a cockroach haven and it's likely the sort of place where the housekeeper has to worry about needles being left behind or... god forbid... dead bodies.
And so it is that you arrive at the motel which one Mr. Albert Monk has been paying for a room. The question now is... what will you do?
((oc: I'll let you all decide if you came along or not since I'm not entirely clear on who was coming and who wasn't.))

((OOC: Okay, so only Jon Catron hasn't responded. He can chime in whenever . So the plan. Sabre and Kaylie go in, while the Tremere and Giovanni perform a watch on the area? ))
Sabre pulls the car to a stop and looks at Kalie. He wonders if she is still pissed at him, but its not the time to get into it. He turns off the engine and looks towards the lobby and says, "Do you want to go get the room, or should I?"
"Both, neither of us should work alonr this night." Kalie says as she opens the door of the car and gets out. Assuming he gets out as well, she will walk around the car to slip her arm through his and walks with him into the motel's office.
Sabre opens the door for her, then swats her on the backside as she enters with a grin. Trying to play up the whole facade. He then joins her at the counter and dings the bell to get their room.
An old woman, dressed in a pink and lavendar moo-moo comes out of a backroom which is hidden behind a beaded curtain. The old girl seems to have seen much better nights with lines all over her face, her back hunched over, and the movement of someone who feels pain in nearly every joint.
She hardly looks up at the two of you when she asks, "We're filled up tonight. You're gonna have to find some place else." Her tone carries not hint of applogy for her bluntness or for the place being full.
