Thread: JTM's Long Hard Road Out Of Hell (2/16/10 Attn:Anyone)

Mackenzie wakes up and tries to figure out what she wants to do today. She goes to Wal-Mart and wanders, picking out several new clothes. She opens her phone and check it. No messages.

Of course not, who would call you. You haven't even met that many people.

She scrolls down her puny list of numbers and decides to dial JTM. He was definitely interesting to meet. As she walks Wal-Mart she listens to the phone ring, for some reason having the sudden urge to hang up quickly.

He hears his cell ring dancing on the table. He looks at the Barbies wondering if they told people when he told them not to.

“You two just couldn’t keep your traps shut now could ya? Now who the fuck could this be?”

He sees that the number is unlisted. He sets down his beer, picking up the cell waiting for another stranger tormenting on the other end.

“Hello?”

"Um...JTM? This is Mackenzie." She pauses for a moment. "I met you the other night with Kendov. I was just wandering around and thought I would come by and say hi since we didn't really get a chance to talk the other night. Are you busy?"

“Mackenzie? Mackenzie? (snapping of the fingers) Oh yeah!!! Kendov’s female friend. Hey!!! Sup girl!!!! Nah not busy. Just hanging with my beer and the Barbies, the ususal you know.”

Yeah right. If she only knew

“I’ve always got time for company. If you are in the area, feel free to stop on by. Like I told you before my door’s always open. Come on down to JTM town. See you soon??”

"Okay, thanks. I'll be there in a few minutes." Mackenzie pays for her purchases and head to JTM's house. She stops at a gas station to change into new clothes, a soft blue sweater and new blue jeans. She wiggles her toes into beige sandals.

She purchases a six pack of the most expensive stuff they have and makes it to JTM's doorstep. Pausing for a moment to get her present situated and straighten her hair, she knocks on the door firmly and waits.

“Cool see you then.”

He hangs up the cell looking over at the Barbies pointing at them.

“Now let me say this upfront to both of you. Mackenzie is not interested in me in the least. I think she’s got Kendov in her sights, and I aint even thinking about fucking up that possibility now. So drop the jealous act with me when she gets here k. I don’t need your complaining fucking with the headache I already have. Got it? (pauses) Good. And be nice to her k. She needs to feel welcome here. I got your word right? ”

He nods to them affirmatively.

"I'm gonna hold you to it then."

He turns on the TV watching music videos thinking about the Purgatory meeting and everything that went down. He tries to focus on the videos to distract him, but it’s the same old rehash, nothing new and exciting to catch his eye either. He waits patiently after several minutes for a blue jalopy to pull up and then a knock soon following.

“Fuck, where is she?"

He then hears the knocking on the door, "Ah ha!!!!" getting up to answer it opening it proudly.

"Sup, Mackenzie. Pull up a seat. Make youself at home. Barbies, you remember Mackenzie now don't you?"

Mackenzie smiles. "Hey." She hands off the six pack of expensive stuff as she enters. "Hope you don't have too much already."

She notices the Barbies this time at the house and smiles at them. "Hello, ladies. I hope everything is good with you."

She sits down on the couch and waits to see JTM's reactions.

JTM takes the beer from Mackenzie.

Rock on!!!! She remembered. Cool. Kendov taught her well. Nice and polite to the Barbies. Cool number two.

“Thanks Mackenzie. Nah. I can never have enough of this stuff. (chuckling) Let me put that away for ya.”

He puts the beer in his fridge, then walks back and sits on his table looking at her.

“Now where were we? Oh yeah….Pretty much as expected, everything is S S D N (same shit different night) as of late. So if you don’t mind me asking what brings you this way. Anything I can help you with?”

Mackenzie cocks her head and stares at JTM. "You seem to know a lot about Kendov and if I'm right in my thoughts, you probably know a lot about most if not all the kindred in the city." She frowns. "If you could enlighten me about the who's who in the city I would be appreciative. In turn you can ask me questions about myself if you want."
