Thread: How to add pictures to your wiki page.

After adding your character page you may find there are things you want to edit and (in particular) you may find you want to add pictures. To add pictures, just follow these steps.

1) Locate a picture you want to add to your wiki page and save it to your computer desktop or some other location you can easily find.

2) Be sure you're logged into our website and surf to your character page on the wiki.

3) At the bottom of your page you should see a link that reads: "upload file" or you can reach it directly by going to: http://myworldofdarkness.com/wiki/index.php?title=Special:Upload

4) Use the browse button by the area labeled "source filename" and find the picture you wanted to put on your character wiki page. You can add a description if you like, but it's not required.

5) After the photo uploads, be sure to write down the name it saved your picture as.

6) Go back to your character wiki page and click "edit" at the top of the page.

Character wiki pages are made up of two templates the first is called your "quick stats" (the small gray box that appears on the upper right of your page) and the other is the "main area" (where all the other text appears.) You can see these templates in the code because they are labeled as such. (see picture below.)

7) You can paste the following code between the "quick stats" and "main area" to put pictures on your wiki page. By putting the code here the images will appear on the right hand side of the page below the quick stat box. (see picture below for exactly where to put the image code.)
