City Hall and 4W1H Join Forces

By Kevin Lynn

Early this afternoon, Thomas Thayer from the Office of the Mayor and a city accountant met with Four Walls and One Heart, President/Founder Veronica Van Moore and her staff.

There had been rumors that the Mayor was really looking for 4W1H to join with him in his Hammers in Hands project. First meetings didn't pan out but there has been more talks over the past week.

Ms. Van Moore said,"It is really great to see that the Mayor was so interested in our help. This has been the greatest reception that we have received coming into any city. With the success of the Ball a few months ago and now the joining of forces in this project, I could not ask for anything more. Not only will we be building low cost home, but we will be giving jobs to those in need. Who knows maybe someone will be building their new dream home. We are very excited to be a part of this."

After that Mr. Thayer commented,"This is a great start for the Hammers in Hands project. It is good to be involved with a charity that has been at the fore front of this type of movement for as long as 4 Walls has. It gives the Hammers, a sense of stability and people will stand up and take notice. We really look forward to working with Veronica and her staff."

This is something that the city really truly needs right now.
