Tragedy strikes Veteran Policeman's familly.

Since Jan 10, Detective Marcus Hargraves, has been searching for his wife Vanessa. She was last seen Saturday evening coming home from late night shopping. Police have been handing out flyers and pictures all week and today the stunning news.

Many of the men and women of our police force knew Vanessa personally, as she was not only the wife of a respected Detective, she had retired from the police force just 5 years earlier herself. Needless to say, many of our city's police felt an urgent need to help Det. Hargrave complete this desperate hunt for his wife.

This frantic search was brought to a close today. She was found early this morning by a farmer surveying his field north west of Golden City.

Currently there are no details as to the cause of death but a spokesman for the Lamar PD has stated,"We are going to be looking very closely into this, this one hits very close to home."

Our hearts go out to this paragon of Lamar's Finest and his family in their time of grief.
