“A quarter of a million dollars, that is what LPD sources are claiming is the total worth of drugs that were confiscated earlier this evening. And sources are saying that evidence at the bust may lead to further convictions on older cases. WLMR Action News’ Thomas Carlisle was on the scene for the bust.

“LPD’ Sargent Ivan Stanley led the early evening raid here at (college hill address) in Lamar at just after six p.m. today, and is already calling it the most successful drug bust since the LPD Street Crime Task force was disbanded in 2008. Police have apprehended at least 10 individuals, confiscated approximately Ten thousand dollars worth of illegal weapons, and over a quarter of a million dollars in illegal drugs."

“Police sources are claiming that this bust may also prove fruitful for other on-going investigations.”

“In related news, The Lamar Police Department have in custody a man they have suspected as being a high level Leader in the Cocaine trade that has infected Lamar. Santos Adio was taken in to custody at 7:30 tonight. Mr Adio may be best known for his 2004 acquittal in the highway 71 murders.”
