Thread: Idle Hands....

Ash is sitting at his workbench in the middle of the studio. He is working on a bust in clay (http://tinyurl.com/y9by2x2). He looks up when Sophia enters and then stands when seeing who it is. "Ms. Giovanni, a pleasure. Please look around. I will be right back, I need to clean up." Clay can be seen smeared on his shirt and hands. A few moments later he comes back in a new shirt and arms and hands clean. (http://tinyurl.com/ycr8b8n)
"Sorry about that. Was there something particular I could help you with or were you just looking?"

"I suppose I am just looking," She says looking back to him once he enters again "I had told you I would stop by, and I always keep my word." She smiles, walking over to one of the sculptures.

"You did all of these?"

"Yes ma'am. These are mostly show pieces for the public though. Most of my serious work is by commission though." Ash leads Sophia around the studio and shows off several of the better pieces. "I did mention that I spent New Years working on a new piece, I would love to show it to you. You would be the first to see it." Ash waits for Sophia's reaction.

Sophia takes her time looking at each piece before Ash tells her about the one he spent New Years working on.

"I would love to see it." Her smile grows larger as she turns to face him, waiting for him to show her the way.

Ash leads Sophia to the center of the studio to a roughly human sized statue covered in a white silk drop cloth. "I do think this is the best work I have ever done. Though it almost cost the life of my most promising student." With the last Ash sounds truly regretful. Ash pulls the cloth off of the statue. (http://tinyurl.com/y8ck8av) (the woman portrayed has an unearthly beauty about her - gorgeous x7) When he uncovers the statue the cloth drops from his hand and he simply stares at it with a look of rapture on his face. A single word seeming to be almost a caressed whisper escapes from his lips, "Ilsid."

It is sorprendente" Sophia says in awe "Absolutely sorprendente" She takes a step closer to get a better look.

Ash simply stares at the statue until Sophia steps in from of him and breaks the spell. Ash tries to play it off nonchalantly, "So what do you think?" When ever the statue comes back into view Ash focuses his will against slipping back into the trance that is the hallmark of the Toreador clan.

"It is beautiful" She says, glancing back at him. "Amazing, really."

Beaming with pride, "Thank you very much, Ms. Giovanni. I only wish I knew who she was. Such beauty and I can't tell you who she is or were I have ever seen her." The last is said with a bit of confusion and then Ash goes quiet for a moment. "But again thank you for the praise."
