Thread: Making a stop (Attn: Ash, Any) 2/16/10

Ash doesn't look up from his work on what can best be described as the hind leg of a full size stone horse. "Ginelle could you please see who is at the door? Thank you."

A tall blonde moves from her work and opens the door. "Hello, Corin. May I call you that? As..Mr. Winters has been expecting you to stop by sometime. Please come in."

Corin smiles at the blonde, "Of course you can call me Corin." She steps into the room, moving around to look at the artwork. She catches Ash out of the corner of her eye and turns to look at what he's working on.

Ash looks up as Corin comes in. "Thank you, Ginelle. You can finish or go for the night if you wish." Ash watches the girl move back to her work and become lost in it again. He nods in obvious pleasure to see her do so.

Looking back to Corin. "Welcome to my studio, Corin. How are you doing this evening? Have you recovered from the incident the other night?"

She smiles a genuine smile at him.

"Thank you for allowing me to come. I am well thank you, and as for the other night, it depends on what incident you are speaking of."

She laughs lightly.

"How are you doing? I noticed later on in the night that you seemed to have been struggling. Are you okay?"

Ash chuckles, "I had taken some wounds in the back. The jacket of the Colonel's was to protect the masquerade as my clothes were shredded. It was the actions of an overprotective sister that made it look worse than it was. For some reason she wouldn't let us go back to the Colonel's warehouse until she had made sure that I was taken care of. I am sure it made me look weak." Ash sighs at this.

"But what can one do? I allowed her to do as she would. Did we miss anything at the warehouse?" Ash takes a critical eye to the flank of the horse and then to the pictures and small model on the workbench then smiles. Looking up at Corin he motions to a stool across the bench from him. "Where are my manners? Would you care to sit?"

She smiles at him, sitting on the stool. "Thank you. You know it is always good to have someone by your side that will look out for you. You are lucky to have that with your sister. It is obvious that she loves you."

"There was not much at the warehouse, a couple of stories from the night..." She shrugs. "Not to completely change the topic, but I do have two items of business I would like to talk to you about."

"Abrupt and to the point." Ash smiles as he says this. "A woman who knows what she wants and aims to get it. And what is it that this humble artist can do for you?"

"Sorry...old habits die hard. Both things I would be willing to pay for. First, would you be up to the challenge of creating some artwork for me?" She smiles, but is obviously very serious.

"Well, that depends on how big a piece you are looking for and what time frame you need it in. The smaller the work the faster I can do it and I can fit it in between other works." Ash motions to the hind quarter of the full sized horse statue he is working on. "If you are looking for a full sized human or larger piece it is going to be six months before I can even start another. After this horse I have four human sized Angels to carve."
