Keeping a Promise (att:Ash or anyone)

Mackenzie looks at the card that has been weighing heavily in her pocket. Idle Hands. Ash was the first kindred she talked to in the city, but it had been too short of a time. She was looking forward to talking more with him, especially after the conversation with JTM.
She pulls out her phone to dial the number to check to see if he is in. Before the phone rings, she hangs up quickly. Changing her mind about calling, she changes clothes into a green long-sleeved sweater and blue jeans and heads in the direction of the studio.
Stopping outside the door, she hesitates. She didn't bring a gift. Quickly she knocks on the door before she can change her mind and run away. Taking a step back she waits to see if anyone answers.

A petite blonde woman answers the door. "Good evening, please come in."

Mackenzie smiles and steps in, following the blonde. "Thank you, is Ash here?"

The blond leads Mackenzie into the main area of the studio and Ash is sitting at his workbench in the center of the studio. Once Mackenzie is in the studio the blond steps over to her own workbench and picks her work back up.

Ash looks up as Mackenzie enters and a smile creeps across his face. "Mackenzie, welcome. How good to have you come visit. I wondered when you would take me up on the offer."

Ash brushes the dust and chips of stone off of him and wipes his hands off on a towel. Crossing the room to where Mackenzie is standing he offers his hand to her.

Mackenzie smiles at Ash's greeting. She hesitates when he offers his hand. An internal war seems to cross her face as she reaches her hand to his. "I've wanted to speak with you more since the night we first met. I'm sorry I didn't call first."

Ash shakes his head, "Don't worry about it. My shop is open to the public every evening and I am used to visitors just popping by. I rather enjoy it as it is a surprise every time."

"So how are things going for you now that you are able to explore the city on your own now?"

Mackenzie smiles. "Not too bad, although I have to admit I haven't really went anywhere. I visited JTM and now you." She looks around the studio. "It looks like you've been keeping busy."

Ash laughs at Mackenzie's comment about keeping busy. "Yes, I have been very busy of late and more and more people coming to me with work." Ash motions toward the work on his bench. It is the hind quarter of a full sized horse. "My largest project ever. A full sized horse made from marble."

"I am pleased that you honored me with one of your first visits. How did your visit with JTM go?"

Mackenzie chuckles. "JTM's visit was a visit with JTM." She raises her eyebrows. "I take it you have spent time around him. It was going well for a while, but then something made him angry and I left for a few minutes." Mackenzie's eyes grow wide as she takes in the piece on the worktable. "It's beautiful! Do you always tackle such monumental tasks?"

Ash shakes his head, "No this is the first time I have ever attempted something this large. I am only doing it as a commissioned job. Animals are not my usual choice of subjects. I prefer to sculpt people." Ash points out several different sculptures around the studio. (most works are crafts x3, one piece is crafts x4)

"As to the matter of JTM, yes, I have had my run ins with him. Currently we are on good terms again. He tends to get angry very easily from what I have heard. Was he angry at you personally or just in general?"
