Thread: The Teacher and the Student (Attn: Domino)

Domino answers the door. "What can I help you with?"

"I've been thinking a lot...probably more than I should..."

She starts to pace a little more.

"Ever since Archon Walker stated that I am no longer a probationary sect member I have been wanting to throw myself more and more into everything that I can. Each night, since I took up the assistant keeper position, I walk the Elysiums to make sure they are safe. Each night I walk gangrel territory to make sure it's safe. I'm offering to teach anyone who wants to learn about the Sabbat so that everyone can know what to look for. I cleaned JTM's place just so I could see if he is okay. I've started to teach AJ how to play an instrument so that his mind is not consumed..."

She stops pacing and looks him in the eyes.

"I've realized that I'm doing all of this, and I haven't even stopped to find out how you are doing. You of all people, the one person who has been my best friend through everything since we've met..."

She gets a little bit of a sad expression on her face.

"Ok, first off stop pacing so much. You'll walk a hole in the floor. Second, congratulations on your sect status change. Now why you feel you have to apoligize for doing your job is beyond me. I have, though, been thinking about something. You say you teach people, correct?"

She smiles when he talks about her walking a hole in the floor, and relaxes as much as she can.

"Yes I teach people what I can."

She tilts her head to the side.

"Is there something besides the piano you were wanting to learn?"

"Yes."

Domino's face shows no emotion as he continues to speak.

"I can't help but think what happened to my sire in Brazil could have been avoided. See, no matter how fast or agile I am....was....he still had to shield me."

Domino looks Corin in the eyes with a strong determination.

"I want to learn to better my FORTITUDE."


*I figure people don't just say 'teach me fortitude'*

Corin lets out a sigh of relief.

"To tell the truth, I've been thinking the same thing...I just wasn't sure how to bring it up. Horacio and Cocteau both died because they didn't have, or didn't use the ability to quickly heal the damage they had taken. I would hate to think that you get the sheriff position and not have that ability...I don't want you to end up like Eric did."

She blinks back the tears and smiles.

"I will teach you what I can, and I will see if I can find someone to teach you what I cannot."

"Ok and where do we train?"

"The bunker where we had Frogger. It's soundproof, and easy access."
