Thread: Training(attn: Pius only) 5/3/10

Pius follows his phone to the location that AJ has given him, he seems AJ and shuts his phone. He is dressed in cargo pants and a black t-shirt.

"Hello AJ. How are you this evening?"

A.J. turns his attention from the stars to look at Pius. He assesses his attire for the occasion and nods approvingly, "I am well. I am glad you could make it. Are you prepared for your lessons?" He crouches down and unzips a large dufflebag. He produces a Kendo stick and a pair of MMA gloves."

Pius puts his phone is his bag and the puts it down.

"I am."

Looks over the gear in the bag.

A.J. shakes his head as he picks up the Kendo stick. He appears reluctant to do what he knows he'll have to do to teach Pius. He says quietly, "I am sure you know I have to do certain things to teach you how to shake off punishment. I will say right now, I take no pleasure in what has to be done and I hope you understand there are no other alternatives."

Pius nods and looks at Aj.

"I understand."

A.J. takes a stance that indicates his mastery of the sword and says, "Focus on shrugging off the damage." He then pauses a moment, making sure he is ready. He then swings the Kendo stick and hits Pius across the back with it.

He watches AJ prepare to strike, he takes a deep breathe and as the sword master stikes his back he exhales by saying,

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."

There is a wince of pain that shows on Pius' face.

A.J. strikes him in the back again, barking out loud, "Shake it off!"

As the second stoke comes, he once again takes and breathe and has he exhales,
"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters."

the wooden sword had left two wicked looking marks, as AJ goes to set up for a third strike the bashing wounds are starting to do away.
