Mackenzie smiles at the text and drops down out of the tree. She sits at the base of it and waits. She knows the location she gave Corin would be pretty easy to find based off the number of times they'd walked the park. She pockets her phone and stares at the stars.
Corin arrives about 20 minutes later on her motorcycle. She kicks off the engine, then walks out to the location Mackenzie said she would be at. When she see's the woman looking at the stars she walks up.
Mackenzie looks up at Corin for a moment trying to evaluate her mood. She nods. "Yes." She motions to a spot on the ground. "We haven't talked in a very long time. I wanted to rectify that if you would be willing."
Mackenzie sighs. "See that's just it. We haven't talked in a long time. I know our relationship has had it's fair share of bumps, but I was hoping it wasn't completely lost." She looks at the ground. "I'm not forcing you to my company. I just want to try to mend bridges."
"I don't know who you are anymore Mackenzie. That night in the station before Kendov closed it...that wasn't you. You showed a side of you I never thought I would see."
She shakes her head.
"That wasn't you...that was Walker. The Walker that we all hated, before he had his change. That was you trying to impress him...to get close to him."
Mackenzie listens and nods. "Yes, I played the part. I won't deny that." She frowns slightly. "I can listen to your anger, your criticism, whatever you want to say to me...if you don't want to talk with me or see me again...I will respect that. I just didn't feel right not trying to mend things. We were close at one point...I miss that."
