Thread: Talking with Horacio (Attn: Horacio)

As the two of them walk through the park Horacio takes in the night air. He doesn't skip a step as Corin says her words. He keeps her arm in his to keep her walking. Horacio looks her in the eyes. "I know. You think I can't read your face? I don't have to be one of 'us' to do that. That comes from years spent together." Horacio smiles at her as they take a less walked path. "I know you are in a battle within. You know that I will be here for you. You are stronger than any voice could ever be. You care to tell me what it says?"

"Horacio, I'm not in a battle. I'm done fighting it."

She looks around, then looks forward again.

"It says that if you keep trying to get in the way it's going to kill you."

Horacio's body almost studders at Corin's words. "Then if this is what you think is right then so be it. Do know though that I will not back down when it comes to your protection. I will let you fight your fights, but i will always be there to support you."

"It's not that I think it's right Horacio. The voice has threatened to send Templars and Pack Priests. It has threatened Mackenzie. I keep the voice satisfied so that it will not come after you to kill you!"

"And for you to hold such a burden is more than anyone could ever ask of you. I know you have grown fond of Mackenzie. I must say she is growing on me as well. Just remember I am not helpless and your clan will not let you do this alone. Bide your time with your prey. You more than anyone know how to stalk in the night." A small smile comes across Horacio's face as he lets out a small growl.

She smiles at his slight growl.

"Are you saying you want me to let the voice come after you?"

"The voice? Of course. The voice and who it belongs to. As for the army it brags about bringing with it, well that may be a different story. That is something we can face together. The pride will stand together."

She smiles at him mischievously. It is obvious that something within her clicked.

"Then so be it."

She turns and continues to walk.

"Now with that out of the way, I should tell you the voice is not always threatening. It can be very soothing at times."

"That is not suprising. It will try to get you to drop your guard. Get you to invite it in deeper. You must stay strong. It knows what you like. It knows what your fantasies are. But don't forget it is also an uninvited invader. Remember that ultimately it is your enemy. You may not fight it, but also don't succumb to it."
