Thread: Asking For Trouble - 07/18/10 (ATTN: Maddy ONLY!)

Maddalena sat in her office at the Asylum trying to decide how best to move forward with her current plan when her cell phone buzzed irritatingly. She sighed and grabbed for her phone as she clicked a button on her computer, effectively freeing a patient who was months away from being ready for release.

She looked at the text message and frowned. "He called me Maddy!" She was about to throw the phone across the office when she changed her mind and decided to read the rest of the message. Then she did throw the phone across the room. She stormed out of the office and then out of the Asylum, madness and chaos flowing in her wake.

She arrived on the scene just as Jaysin was shot the second time with the flare gun. Her beast riled against her intent to go try to help him. She scanned the area quickly and then the edges of reality began to fuzz. The grass beneath her feet became tiled floor as she walked. She stared intently at the man with the gun standing over Jaysin as she walked. The man fell to the floor screaming as blood poured from his nose.

Maddalena knelt down next to Jaysin whispering quickly as she continued to stare at the ghoul with the flaregun.
"Let me enter your mind so we can speak, there is very little time. I need to know what happened."

Jaysin shifting back to his normal self as she held his head, nodded an ok as his body was slowly beginning to die. Jaysin cleared his mind for a moment and allowed Ms. Scatallia to enter. Hoping to explain before he died, Jaysin spoke as if he had his tongue.
"Ma'am, i tried saving that crazy man. Even my cats tried helping him, he seemed troubled and lost as i followed him..." Jaysins body burned like the last time he felt the sun touch his skin, only this felt 10 times worse. "I made it here and saw those ghouls attacking him, you know ma'am he reminded me of my father. Then when they slung my cats around like stuffed animals, i scanned the area before attacking them and shifting. The man holding my limp cats is a mortal, i felt obligated to my Prince and clan to protect him and our masquerade. I am sorry if i failed this city i had grown to love. Its hurts Ma'am and burns..." Jaysin looked over at the shocked scared man holding his cats. Jaysin saw the crazy man craddling them as he cried.

Maddalena stares at the ghoul with the gun until he is curled in a ball crying. Only then does she move her eyes to Jaysin.

"You defended this city, you protected my daughter's children. I could never ask for more. If you allow me, I can take away the pain. But we don't have much time."

Jaysin hurting nods and says in his mind, "Yes, please do. First make sure my cats, Prism and Greystoke, are cared for, they are both ghouls but Prism has kittens and they aren't like her. May my ashes go to Ms. De Erros, if she can't keep'em then she is to take them to Prague where i first fell in love with her, then make sure that mortal man is cared for please! All my resources and such give to whoever deserves them please. I am ready now i think, thanks Ms.Scatallia it was an honor to know such a person as you.." Jaysin looked over the man holding his two beloved cats as he ached with a firey pain, tears of blood steamed down his face as he remembered getting them both, then he thought of Maharet De Erros who he loved more than his undead life. Wishing it all to stop he looked at his worthless body and thought, "Please end it!"

Maddalena nodded and seared derangements into Jaysin's head so that he could not feel pain, making his mind forget that there were nerve endings anywhere in the body. She sighed tiredly and waited, closing her eyes as Jaysin's body fell to ash from the amount of damage he had taken. She would do as he aked, she would commend him to Kendov and William.

This one had defended her child and he would never be forgotten. She gathered up the rest of the ash and then moved to the last man with the gun. She touched his mind with her's and knew there was nothing left. She would have to get him into the asylum before long. And the naked man with the money. Her promise to Jaysin, she would take care of this one.

She spoke quietly "At least you learned. I will never forget what you have done. You have also given your clan a second chance." Then she went about getting the two men back to the Asylum and covering up what had happened here.
