On the front of the Range Tribune, a large group of men and women are pictured standing on a roadside holding protest signs displaying various messages.
Underneath the picture the caption states "Local parents and religious groups stand outside the Bradford maximum security prison 15 miles north of the city over the upcoming parole for Vernon Holcomb
the article reads
Holcomb To Be Paroled
by jenny long
Vernon Holcomb, sentenced to 30 years in prison for the tragic deaths of a nearby family in a motor vehicle accident will be receiving his second chance at parole after serving just now 15 years of his sentence. when asked why Holcomb was getting another chance at freedom when it is unheard of for a parole violator be allowed a second chance the law enforcement representative I spoke to said this, "After going through our records with the recent move of the parole office to the prison, we found that Holcomb has been re-jailed on a technicality he should not have. We sent a man back to prison and now have to own up to it. " This of course has sent local parents and organizations to the front doors of the court building and the very gates of Bradford Penitentiary where Holcomb is being held.
