"Well let's hope they didn't dilute your blood with that," Shadow says then he goes quiet.

"So, you're a bit lost on heritage. We get through this battle coming up, I'll take set you on a vision quest. Maybe then you can get in touch with your ancestors, learn about your past, get in touch with who you are. How does that sound?"

"Sounds like a deal, sir!"

"So now your job is to not die. I'll see what I can do about keeping my end of that bargain at least this time. Course if we fail, well, what the hell."

"I'll do my best. If there is nothing else, I will take my leave so that you may return to your peace. Good day. I hope to see you again...after."

"Take care . . . son," he says an odd hesitation before he adds the last word. He sits silently smoking, watching Shawn walk away.
