Thread: Dawn Watch

Jonah finishes up his daily patrol and wanders about waiting for Ariadne to show up. He is carrying a backpack with him and is moving slowly about, not sure where she will show up, but certain that she will find him when he is ready.

He is dressed in his normal jeans, t-shirt and boots, with a denim jacket.

Glancing at the sky, Ariadne realizes that she has a meeting to attend. She roots around near the base of a large tree and finds the small parcel into which she has tied her clothes. She takes it gently in her teeth and starts moving back towards camp, until she crosses Jonah's path.

Jonah sees the wolf approaching and stands still, unsureif it is the one he has the appointment with. He indicates the present area and asks if it is acceptable for a bite to eat, waiting to find out if this is Ariadne.

Ariadne sets down her clothes and grins at Jonah. She shifts to her homid form and dresses quickly. As she fusses with her knife, she smiles at Jonah, clearly less tense due to her excursion. "Hey...what's up?"

Jonah waits patiently while Ariadne finishes her change and getting into her things.

While he is waiting, he lays out the contents of his bag on the ground.

2 thermos containers, a box from a bakery, a knife, a container or cream cheese, a package of ham, and something that smeels like smoked fish.

He then sits down on the ground and motions for Adriadne to join him.

Ariadne sits down by Jonah. "Not a problem...what was it you wanted to talk about?"

Jonah shrinks back into himself a bit.

I am interested in the needs of the members of the Sept.

To know the needs I must get to know the people.

I must prove my worth so that I may continue to have a place here.

Jonah keeps his eyes down. He is not wearing his sunglasses and his white eye is clearly visible when he is not looking at the ground.

Ariadne smiles. "That's cool...it's nice to meet someone that's interested in actually getting to know a person, not just a Galliard or a Ragabash to round out their pack."

Jonah picks up a bagle, cuts it deftly in two (you can tell he has practice at this), smears cream chees on both halves and covers each with smoked salmon from a package.

Balance is good, but members must get along and accept each other to work together, and to find out if you can get along you must know each other.

Balance is important, but we are told that we are fighting a losing battle, so numbers are needed as well.

Complimentary abilities and personalities, strong with flexible, fighters and planners, straight line thinkers and curved thinkers.

Everyone should have something to contribute, everyone should bring something a bit different to the table.

Jonah opens both of the thermoses and pours himself a cup from one.

THis is Breakfast tea. That one is black coffee, I have sugar and cream in the pack if you would like some.
