Evening Patrols (ATTN Kasey, any)

Ariadne walks through the trees, carrying her messenger bag over one shoulder. As she nears a favorite spot, she smiles and digs her water-bottle out of her bag. She sits down with her back against the tree's trunk, and pulls a sandwich from her bag. As the sun sets and the stars come out by ones and twos, she eats her small meal, contemplating the sounds of the forest.

Kasey just arrived back too Lamar, she had been called away for personal family matters. Kasey loved walking around the range here, it reminded her of Shawn the first person she met when she had arrived. It was as if he was all around her, as Kasey continued towards the caern she sensed someone was near. Stalking closer she noticed another sitting a few yards away looking at the stars and eating a small meal. The smell of food made her stomach growl, inching closer she spoke. "Good evening..."

Ariadne looks up quickly, swallowing a mouthful of sandwich. "Uh....hi?" She hears the unfamiliar face's stomach growling, and pulls another sandwich from her bag. "Want some?" She pats the ground beside her and offers the sandwich.

"Sure, thanks" Kasey sits beside her new friend as she hands her the sandwhich. "My name is Kasey Youngblood, i am a a homid Cahalith from the Children of Gaia, my friends call me Black Lilly. But you can call me Kasey." It was hard for her to meet an greet new people and the crescent mark from the awakening of the caern showed brightly on her forarm. It was her reminder of those who fell, seeing those who died was still fresh in her memory as was Shawn.

Ariadne smiles. "Ariadne Fletcher, Silent Strider, Galliard, homid, cliath." She frowns slightly. "What's on your arm? If you don't mind my asking."

"When we awoke the caern here, me and a few other performed the rite too awaken it, all who was part of the big battle recieved the mark. I carry it proudly in honor of my first friend who i met here who died in the battle, its my reminder ." Kasey had a small tear in her eye as she spoke that, she had to believe Shawn was guiding them here as was her mother who taught her was still with her. "So, you have family here or like me alone? I have a few cousins an all but they didn't go through the change like me and my mother, they stay in Joplin and Columbia, Missouri."

Ariadne nods. "Cool." She takes a drink of her water. "Naah, what little family I have...or rather, the people I viewed as family, are all in Montana." She gazes into the distance, remembering. "Long time ago."

"Ooh, Montana. I always wanted too visit there when i was traveling, but i prefer it here. I don't know why but i feel somewhat whole here, maybe because this area was where my mother was raised til she became pregnant with me and moved away." Kasey loved how the range smelled and the winds breeze as it danced with her long black hair. Finishing the sandwhich, she sighed. "Thanks for the sandwhich i was a tad hungry, you know the lake is great this time of night, especially for skipping rocks. I love how the moon dances on the water when its out as well... I do hope i am not boring you with jibberish, its been awhile since i had someone who'd listen or converse with."
