Thread: Born In A Barn (ATTN:Shadow Wind & Dragan 12/30/09)

Dragan, in lupus form, sniffs around the area of the barn and the foot prints hoping to at least catch a whiff of what ever human had made the tracks. (Heightened Senses active). He will also try to identify as many different animal smells as he can, since he already knows about the squirrels and some birds.

Shadow follows Dragan, limping along in lupus form, sniffing, staring around the area. He pauses often, looking around carefully.

After several moments of this he will shift forms then begin circling the barn area chanting softly as he does so in Lakota.

((Translated))

"With visible breath I am walking.
A voice I am sending as I walk.
In a sacred manner I am walking.
With visible tracks I am walking.
In a sacred manner I walk."

He continues this song tamping the ground with his staff as he walks the circuit of the area around the barn ((assuming nothing stops him!))

Tracks around the barn include rabbits, deer, squirrels, raccoons, mice, native birds, all of the expected tracks in the open. There is no discernable scent from the human made tracks.

As Shadow walks his circuit around the barn he gets the feeling that there is a lot of magic here, more than the last time.

Both of you flash into a vision of this barn when it was fresh and new. You see slimey tentacles bobbing out of the hay loft and a little 7 year old boy with a happy face about to walk into the barn and then you flash back into the here and now.

Shadow looks at the barn then over at Dragan, he shrugs.

He begins chanting again.

As the vision of the barn clears his head Dragan stops and shakes his head as if trying to shake off the dream. He shifts to Glabro and watchs Shadow as he prepares his Rite.

"This whole place...it gets in your head. I have had odd flashes of insight since I stepped foot here. More so that is usual for those of our moon. This barn...a child....the wyrm. I do not like it here."

Dragan then reaches up under his shirt and pulls out a bone knife of some fashion. "I will watch your back Shadow Wind." With that he crouches on the balls of his feet and waits for something to happen.

Dragan watches the snowy hills as Shadow Wind completes his Rite of Summoning. The land itself seems to shudder, snow falls from the barn's roof in large clumps and the air itself seems to take a deep breath and sigh before an ethereal voice speaks with each gust of wind.

"Why have you brought us here, brother of the land?"

A half-formed humanoid body coallesces from the air, fringed in snow.

"Greetings Spirit," Shadow says with respect in his voice.

"Great magic is here and there is darkness as well. Can you tell us what events transpired here? We wish to set the balance back to right, but seek knowledge of where it went wrong, so we may correct it."

The wind ripples and sighs with what could be laughter. The voice takes on an almost slithering quality.

"Nothing went wrong, all here is as it should be...."
