Thread: Outsider

Shawn is out poking about, as usual, learning what he can, being curious. He hears someone moving about. As he cautiously investigates he sees the source. Not wanting to startle Wapoke, eventhough Wapoke probably heard Shawn before Shawn heard him, he calls out, "Hello? My name's Shawn."

Wapoke will cruse to a stop his head rising as if folowing something moving off in the distance. He turns and looks as Shawn as he starts to circle around him. His tail is strait out as he courioisly looks, his head suddenly drops and he foceses on something behind Shawn his ears perking up as if listining again. He sits back on his haunches as he begins to shift to human. Before him is a fit toned boy about 15 years old. His eyes glistin as he looks arond as if just realizing it is cold as the wind cuts across his naked form as he crouches there.

"I am Wapoke MyHoDo and there call me Ansestors'-Howl."

Shawn appears to be a similar age to Wapoke and a Native American.


As he removes his coat and offers it to Wapoke, "It's good to meet you. I saw you come with the others when they brought Sam and Drahcir. I don't think I saw you around before. So, what are you following out here?"

Wapoke head follows the offered coat. His eyes traicing it as he gets a look of confushion. His curiosity is obvious, yet he looks like he is scared of it.
"I was at the...carn, when they arrived. I was with them when the carn was saved. "
His head cocks to the side.
"I am following the ansestors, they are
eveywere here."
He will involwntaryaly shivver as the cold starts to sink into him.

"Dude, you're obviously cold." Shawn averts his eyes. "Put the coat on before you freeze to death. It won't hurt you."

"You mentioned a caern. Was it this one or the one where Sam and Drahcir died?"

"By ancestors, do you mean dead people, like ghosts?"

Wapoke takes the coat from Shawn looking strangly at it. He tilts his head as if listning to something befor looks down at his arm. He seams confused as he tries to follow directions Shawn dosent hear. Once done he crouches there as un-comfortable in the coat as the cold was making him. He looks at Shawn.
"Ghost...I don't know what you are talking about. The Ansestors are the old ones who came before us. They are all around us, more so here than elsewere, but they can be found just like the ones in the ground and trees."

"Oh! The Spirits? You can see and talk to them, too? Cool!"

Shawn squats down next to Wapoke.

Wapoke watches as Shawn moves closer. The tenshion in his muscles shows his newness to humans as he shifts a little.

"Yes I can talk to them, can't everyone here?"

Shawn notices Wapoke's uneasiness. "It's okay. I'm one of you. I'm a friend. To answer your question: it doesn't seem like everyone can talk to the spirits. I guess it's our special ability. Some walk on water, some drink a lot, and some talk to the spirits. There's probably more, I just haven't figured them all out yet."
