Werewolf: Glory, Honor, Wisdom (Attn: All)
It is both early and late - the twilight of the morning. The sky is a light purple hue blended with a mixture of pinks and oranges. One one side of the horizon, Luna, full with her Glory waits defiantly in the sky, refusing to simply fade beneath the impending morning sky. On the opposite horizon, the first rays of Helios the Light-Bringer, peak and roll over the world chasing and destroying the cold and shadow that has wrapped around the face of Gaia.
In this very brief moment of duality, the Gauntlet between the Tellurian and the Umbra is only as firm as the slightest breeze. The Two Worlds, are so close to being one, and yet still are separate.
About the newly blessed ground of the Caern, all Garou hear the call of the spirits - beckoning them around the heat of the center fire.
As the Garou emerge from their various shelters, they see a convocation of spirits of Gaia. Ancestors of each Tribe represented that has them, Elementals of Air, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Lunes, Gafflings, Jagglings, and Chimerlings. They swarm and gravitate to the mighty auras of the few gathered Incarnae: the Silver Wolf, the Storm Wolf, the Red Wolf, and the Fenris Wolf. High above them all, the ethereal limbs of the massive Willow that waits beyond the veil shimmer into view, creating a canopy that stretches far about.
All of these massive and mighty spirits look proudly to the Garou who emerge and come to stand before them, answering their call. The sheer amount of honor that comes in all of these spirits manifesting at one time for the Garou of this Sept, is a tale to be told for generations to come.
When all are present, the mighty Willow's words and intent can be felt in the minds of the Sept, like a calm breeze that rolls over your mind:
"Children of Man, Wolf, and Spirit, hear our words. We, spirits of this Caern, come gathered to honor your deeds. It was that you were gifted and destined to open what was for so long closed. By your Wisdom you sought the course, by your Honor you bared the burden, and by your Glory you cleared the path and saw it done. The deed of opening a Caern is a rare occurrence. So blessed are we that such consecrated grounds of Gaia remain, so few are they in number - that in these days to reawaken Her presence in this world is a feat of great magnitude. A tale that will remain with you long after your mortal flesh has gone - that it will remain with you as you enter the Cycle once more, and be a deed your offspring can speak proudly of."
"Know now, that we observe your deeds. We watch and make known your actions of Glory, Honor, and Wisdom - and those actions we find lacking therein. Your tales will be known be those of This Umbra, and shall carry forth when you request the blessings of the Rite of Accomplishment."
"For awakening this Caern, and slaying the spawn of Maddened Wyrm your Glory is greatest. Your Honor is beyond question. And your Wisdom is vast and eternally growing..." as these words roll through your mind, you feel a sense of pride well up and burn deep in your heart and soul. A spiritual sense of vigor pulsing through your entire being.
The Willow allows you to observe your rightly earned pride, but continues on, "We have not forgotten those that have fallen. Their deeds will be remembered with them as they enter the Cycle again. Know that your Rites for the Departed will be honored and respected - and their names will continue on in the stories you tell and the legends you remember."
"For some, the battle was costly in other ways...ways that are not as forgiving as the Cycle. Wounds given were not all visceral, indeed, some were Spiritual. Let these wounds heal, but they should remain scars. Scars to remind you of battle and what you have earned, and what you must not let happen to others. You paid in blood, bone, and friend. Some even found they exacted such costs on to others; albeit against their wills while possessed by entities of the Wyrm. Still these stories must be remembered as well, for you to carry on the lesson and be ready, you must know the embarrassment and understand the pain. Move on and forward, Children. It is the only way."
Another long moment passes, perhaps a pause for remembrance, before the Willow speaks again,
"Rise, proudly, children. Your tales are great, but your tasks have just begun. Remember your deeds and know that we are always watching."
As the last words roll through your mind, offering you comfort, the gathered Spirits, like Luna in the sky above, slowly vanish behind the veil...the moment of duality passed. Helious looks over you now, casting bright warmth and welcoming you to a sense of rebirth, hope and opportunity, in the form of a new day.
((For all in the battle, a total of 14 Temporary Glory, 8 Temporary Honor, and 7 Temporary Wisdom were awarded. For Tala and Samara, in addition to this, there was a loss of 5 Honor, and 5 Wisdom. A subsequent post will be made within 24 hours for those unaware as to how renown is earned, tracked, and valued to better understand this process.))
