Thread: Chase the Lightning (Attn Miranda, Any)

Jonah nods to Johanas and stands back to let others work.

He watches everything that is going on, but he projects the air that he is just waiting for someone to ask him something, otherwise he is just there.

He goes to a cupbooard above one of the work benches and pulls down a roll of towels and sets it within reach of the table with the "child" on it.

He then pulls one of the chairs out from the work table and takes a seat with a can of Diet Cola that was already open and waiting for him.

The area everyone is in opens onto a larger open warehouse which has virtually nothing in it.

Near the refrigerator, there are a set of stairs going up, and a heavy duty freight elevator.

The ceiling is about 20 feet overhead and consists of I beams and a concrete floor above, with what appear to be ventilation ducts in place.

Tai grabs soda and snacks and has a seat.

((Working on the "children" is a nightmare. The ones you are not working on begin jerking as they move around the room and try to 'clean' things, but they have no cloths or supplies so they end up standing in front of an item and twitching.

The one you are working on it is obvious it was human. Implanted in the head is a circuit board, with wires connected into the nervous system, down to the heart, and to various points of the brain.

This is some kind of Frankenstein experiment, totally inhumane.))

Jonah watches from the sidelines, and impassive look on his face.

He notices the wires as the cutting is under way, watching to see what else is revealed.

He keeps glancing at the "children" wandering about, making sure that they do not reach for or pick up anything that could be used as a weapon.

Johanas will use his medical expertise to try and see if he can get a rough idea how or when the wires and circuit board were put in (any bruising or interior damage).

At the appearance of a circuit board, Jonah actually stands up and looks closer.

There may be something on that board that can be traced. it's unlikely, but a possibility.

He remains in the background, not reaching for anything near the body at this time, but simply making the suggestion.

((Scarring, bruising, etc indicates this was done a while ago - weeks at least.))

Looking up from the dissected body on the table.

"Well it looks like this was all add awhile back at least several weeks. I don't know if anyone might be able to trace this stuff or if the trail might be too cold."

Jonah now steps forward and speaks.

I might be able to trace serial numbers or manufacturing marks.

If they are rare, they may lead us to something. If they aren't...

I had a thought, though. Could they be receiving instructions through the wires that are still outside their heads ?

What if we find the signal that's coming in and trace that back to the source, if we can ?
